For anyone else wondering, the catch is that the entire drivers side front end is smashed/missing
Looks like you're buying a torsen with scrap metal attached. That thing is 3/4 parted out already!
Lots more than that, engine, trans, headlight, door, interior, front and rear suspension, rear lights, trunk, etc.

I saw that car for sale Friday on another forum for $600 with a few more parts attached (TR MotorSport C3 rims , Nice stereo, Steering wheel with the car) and texted the owner and was told it was sold then.
After seeing this post here I got in touch with the new owner and picked up the car this morning. I wanted the 4.3 Torsen off it for my AutoX car. If anybody is looking for other parts let me know.
People are selling just the head for more than that on miataturbo.net. People love those '99s, I guess.
