I have a disassembled 2.0 914 engine that needs to go to a good home. I was going to rebuild the engine, but the parts were going to be a little pricey; I'm now parting it out. I have all the parts except for any FI components, as well as a 5-speed transaxle.
I would be willing to let these parts go for very cheap. I'm trying to save up money for my first car. I can supply pictures as soon as I get home from school if anyone is interested.
heads were freshly rebuilt before I realized how much the total thing would cost.
Pictures? Prices?? Are you willing to ship???

I'm interested and am in Nashville, so not too far.
Freshly rebuilt heads are $250 for the set. They were rebuilt by a local dude who has been in the VW forever, super cool guy. If you want to check him out his company is Jim's Aircooled.
Transaxle can be had for $700 or best offer. I was told these are fairly desirable, but I'm fairly motivated to sell.
Cylinder jugs and pistons are $100 obo
Crank and con-rods $100, will disassembled if you want.
Block is $150, its in good shape other than some grime that can be cleaned off with ease.
I'm not real familiar with the shipping for stuff like this, but for the smaller stuff (crank, jugs, etc) it shouldn't be too much of a problem. However, the trans would definitely be a pickup or meet kinda thing. I'll be happy to work with someone who's serious about buying. I want this stuff out so I can make room for other projects...
Head casting numbers?
Are they stock size valves or bigger?
In reply to scottdownsouth:
They're stock valves. All these are 100% stock parts
If your Trans is a side shifter then it is popular, but only with 914 guys. It has a better feel than a tail shifter.

I'm too far, since shipping would be a factor, but out of curiosity how much for the whole pile?
In reply to hhaase:
For the whole pile, including the transmission? a negotiable $1000
bump, really want this stuff gone.
