I remember a dealer having one of these on display at a mall when they were new, and I was absolutely shocked at their sticker price, or the fact that anyone would pay that kind of money for something like this. IIRC it was $50 or $70k back then.
A friend of SWMBO picked one up after a few years of depreciation, but she still paid almost 30k for it. She was gushing over it, but I couldn't see it. Now for 1200, I could see giving it a shot. My car budget is shot currently, and it's too far away from me to worry about.

Wasn't the motor in these fairly problematic? I'd be afraid there's more to it than the owner mentions, or maybe even knows.

I’ve read hereabouts that the 3.6 has problems, but a buddy of mine got more than 150k out of his CTS without much drama, and he was one to stretch his oil change intervals. The dash was kind of out of place in a car of that price range but the seats were fantastic and the car was good on the road. I’d like a shot at a cheap SRX just for fun.
Learned something new today. Caddy is still using the Northstar motor name. That said, if the 6 cyl tag is correct on the ad it's a HF 3.6 V6, which means it should be actually decent as long as it's been cared for.
