1971 Fiat 850
fuel: gas
title status: clean
transmission: manual
1971 Fiat 850 sedan. Very rare car from California. Very solid body, only surface rust in spots. Complete and restorable with original engine (turns freely) with 65k original miles. Was sitting for years in the California desert so interior upholstery is shot, but very restorable. I have the title too. $900 call Tom

Please excuse me, I just recently learned how to cut and paste.
Anyone know how to put Reverse in a Hyabusa motor?
Two guys pushing on the hood?

^ That is how we are doing the Aprillia powered Fiat.
2900 miles from here is a bit too far. I guess I won't hook up the trailer and head out.
Despite the front and rear windscreen rust it looks solid. I am sure it is no less rusty than the one I already own though.
It still has a few of the sedan only interior bits, looks to still have the sedan spec 817cc single barrel carb engine with the puny exhaust instead of the spider header system, oddly it has spider 13" wheels instead of the 12's it came with. That clean dash pad and uncracked glass is what got me excited.
Looked around and found someone who put a ring gear on the rear diff yoke, and ran a stater motor to it. Won't let me download the picture though. https://www.race-dezert.com

By Midwest standards, that 850 is basically rust free. I too was excited by the dash pad and windshield. Anyone can recover a seat. If that was half the distance, I'd be there this weekend. That's why the X1/9 also on the forum is tempting.

By 850 berlina standards it is still clean. Not many of these are left in the US.
I have alerted the nationwide list of Fiat crazies. It should be saved shortly

Holy crap that the 1st car i recall doing over 100mph in.... I woke up in the back seat with a very angry Maine State cop Yelling at my oldest brother. Insedently the cop had coffee all down his shirt. :)
We had done a road trip to northen Maine to look at a service station that was for sale I was maybe 8 or 9 years old at the time.
I'm not a fan of Fiat. I once had a 124 Coupe, that I had more miles on my sneakers than were on the car. Constant break downs, and pushing it to the side of the road.
