I read "needs alternator" as "you have no hope of cramming an alternator in here because engine is squeezed between strut towers so I'm bailing on this project"

222hp/205lb-ft isn't bad from a DOHC 3.0L of the eighties, so I'm not sure why you'd say it was a turd.

Mitsubishi 6G72

Toyota needed VVT-i to make that much power with their 3.0 V6 and it's a motor that some have expressed love for in the past.

The original SHO V6 made similar power and it's also lusted after by many.

So what makes it a turd exactly?
