This thing is beyond cool!
From the owner:
I am selling my 1978 Dodge Colt-Lancer rally project. I have put a lot of work into it, I just don't have time to finish it. It needs alot but for someone with a little time and more knowledge than me, it should be a breeze. Basically all it needs to be running and driving is a fuel cell/ fuel delivery system, The harness plugged up, some peddles, hydraulic lines and a brake system and you are good to take her down the street. This is a rare car that you wont see too much more of, I got it from a dear friend of mine and I want to sell it to someone who will keep this car alive. For more info give me a call Six/One/Five/Seven/Seven/Two/Six/Three/Seven/Two
Good/Goodies:
- It has a supercharged 1.6l Miata engine and full harness in it that runs and only has 80,000 original miles on it.
- Bride Race seats and harness's
- Partially built roll cage
- Rally tires
- Rally Computer
- Miata Driveshaft
- Miata ignition, Key, and steering collomn
- A bunch of extra race steering wheels and columns.
- Miata instrument cluster.
Thats the meat of all that I have.
Bad/ Work that needs to be done.
- It has some rust but most of the areas have to be reinforced for rallying anyways.
- The roll cage is only partial and the welds need to be grind down and cleaned up.
- All metal brackets that I made will have to be sanded and primered to keep from rusting.

If its yours you need it again. This is such a cool build.
If it is, it’s the ex-Doug Shepherd rolling chassis that was pretty bare & well-used. The other one was a complete log-booked car, so I doubt this I’d the same one.

After a few attempts I learned the hard way never to buy your old car back

Thankfully there’s only one vehicle we’ve owned that I’d want back & it’s still in the family(Fit). There’s only about a half dozen I’ve owned that I’d actually consider owning another one.

It's kinda like getting back with your ex. You always wonder where it's been and what someone else did with it.
You'll need to log in to post.
