I'd really like an MR2 for an upcoming Challenge project.
I really only need the tub, but drivetrain is helpful, and anything else is worth recoup.
The cheaper the better, the newer the better.
Anyone have any leads?
I have one that I was trying to sell on here for ~$300, and I still have it. I would even give you a parts car with it.
'86, rust free, decent interior...Unfortunately it's an automatic, but if you're only after the body...
I want them out of my yard.

So sad!
I'm only 700 miles! You can crash at my place!
In reply to JamesMcD :
700 EACH WAY.
That's 1400 miles on top of the 1000 per week I currently drive.
Maybe I'll look into shipping...
In reply to GIRTHQUAKE :
I live in Albany GA (31721) on weekends.
I live in Columbia SC (29072) during the week.
It's complicated...
Why? Are you offering shipping?
I literally just posted one to this page in the $2018 classifieds. I wish I had seen this haha.
Here is the link:
I know the PO mentioned in this ad, and I know it sold cheap. The pics are the ones used to sell it last time...
If I had known this was coming back up for sale I would have bought it instead of the X1/9

Dug up the text from the original ad last year:
For Sale: 1986 Toyota MR2, D-Prepared build in-progress.
Selling my said project due to moving and having 7 vehicles.
The car is on it's way to being ready for D-Prepared. Completely gutted, lightened, and some rot already cut out (passenger floor is cut out and will be the biggest panel replacement job, but I have a pattern cut). Runs flawlessly with only 102k original miles, and a head rebuild at 70k (donated to an automotive tech school for a student project).
Has brand new Bassett 13x8 racing wheels, wrapped in used AVON ZZ-R 20 treadwear r-comps. The car currently sits on Eibach springs, and I have 4 brand new KYB non-adjustable shocks. I also have many of the original parts...seats, spoiler, sunroof, lights, etc. Hood is not pictured, but it's included. I even have the car's original window sticker, original owner maintenance records, and some sweet 80's sales brochures. Pretty cool. See pics. There's also a pic of a DP MR2 which is what I was going for. Good winter project which could be ready for 2017. I'm willing to trailer it to your location, within reason.
Asking $600

I actually just texted.
Well, let me know if I earned my enabler merit badge. I may grab some of those X parts if you end up down this way

So.....
If I'm reading this correctly, the seller likely bought it for $600 or less?
