Lexus SC400 1UZ V8 w/ 5 speed Nissan 240sx transmission - $1750 (GRAFTON)
This was in my Miata for about 2 years and 7k miles before I parted that car out. I bought this engine on criagslist 3 years ago, so the mileage is unknown. It was pulled from a 1997 Lexus SC400. I replaced every gasket, seal, hose, and clamp on this engine and did lots of painting and powdercoating too. Also replaced the timing belt, water pump, timing pulleys, plugs, wires, starter with all oem Lexus parts. All emissions components have been eliminated along with the a/c and power steering. A custom belt tensioner was made to have a short belt for only the alternator. The wiring harness has been pulled apart and cleaned and all emissions and automatic transmission wiring has been eliminated. The engine comes with a Nissan 240sx 5 speed transmission. There is a XAT racing adapter plate, extended throwout bearing, custom flywheel, 240sx clutch disc, and Toyota MR2 turbo pressure plate to make it all work together. The exhaust manifolds are modified to fit in the Miata chassis and are as close to the engine as possible for chassis clearance. I made a y-pipe that goes under the oil pan and exits into a single 3 inch vband clamp. Included in the sale is everything needed to make it run; wiring harness, mass air flow sensor, engine computer, shifter, and ignition igniters. So its basically a 250ish HP 5 speed high revving Japanese V8 ready to drop in whatever project you have. It runs very well and shifts smooth. I parted out the Miata to buy another project car. It would fit best in a Nissan 240sx because you can buy engine mount premade and it bolts right in. The wiring is very simple, only about 10 wires to hook up to the engine harness to make it run. Pick up in Grafton, WI and you would need to bring an engine hoist as I don't have one. Price is obo
