DIYAutoTune.com has just released their latest MSPNP Pro for the 2002-2005 Subaru WRX! This one is based on the MS3-Pro architecture for fully sequential fuel and spark control, real time tuning, and onboard data logging. Some of the highlights of its features include:

  • Fully on rally anti-lag, including rotational idle
  • No lift shifting
  • Peak and hold drivers for low impedance injectors
  • Supports speed density and MAF tuning options
  • On/off or variable water injection control
  • VVT support if swapping to a VVT motor

And a lot more! This is basically our MS3-Pro redone to make it plug right in to a stock WRX harness. Pricing is $1199.

Are there any plans to build this for the normally aspirated 2.5L SOHC Impreza/Forester/Legacy/Outback/etc?

It's probably a low demand application but there may be some economies of scale.

Let me know what year(s) you have in mind. This MSPNP might cross over to some other models. And if it sells well and we get a lot of other Subaru demand, there's a good chance we'll follow up with ones for other Subarus. Alternately, it could be eligible for an MSPNP On Demand group buy where we could release one if 10 people are willing to pre-order and put down a deposit.

This is interesting for me, as I was about to undertake a wiring/ECU swap on my 2004 WRX to get the perks of the 2006/2007 32 bit ECU and VVT functionality.

Any reason why this hasn't been promoted on some of the Subaru forums? I was trying to see if there was any one else using a megasquirt on their upgraded Subaru, and haven't come up with anything (not saying I'm not familiar with how popular Megasquirt/DIY auto tune are with other brands, just curious).

We currently don't sponsor any Subaru forums. I've been promoting it on forums DIYAutoTune.com officially sponsors. It may take some time for it to trickle down to resellers who sponsor official Subaru forums, or end users to post reviews there.

Gotcha. Well if there is any opportunity to test it out and review, I would be interested. Might be a good solution for my autox car.
