What is the plan? Drop the shell over the Japanese sub-frame after cutting it loose or adapt suspension to ford with tube frame?
I would love to see the body left just as it is.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Vaughn Gittin Jr. one of the leaders in Formula Drift with a Mustang that has a solid rear axle? I don't follow FD much, so I'm not claiming to be an expert...

Well I for one, actually like drifting.
Also, I just noticed we're in the same town! We just bought a house in Decatur, kinda near the Home Depot on Lawrenceville hwy.

You are right, it is a straight axle. I don't like Mustangs so I don't keep up with his car.

If you have some time, read up on how the bullet nose on the '49 and '50 Fords were secretly designed by Studebaker designers. One of them, Bob Bourke, owned my E-Type from new...
Having went to a GoodGuys event and looked at around 3000 car last weekend I started thinking about an old, cool car that could also turn. I know the vast majority of the people involved in that hobby would have a heart attack, but I think it's time for something a bit different. That's one of the things that started that whole hobby and this concept would fit my idea perfectly...

Make it happen!!! Some Hot Rodders are living in grand dads day and I love those cars but some of those guys live to kill the life of new creativity. Make that shoe box do what it should have been able to do back then and more!!! Follow your vision!
