I like the orange color.  As if this thing needed to draw more attention.

Looks like a giant Motrin Caplet.

Too cool

Are the tires the only thing keeping it from driving?  Is the engine, trans ans suspension good?

I bet you could drop $1,500 if it needs all 6 tires.

Pretty cool. Is that an enclosed storage bin on top in the middle there?

It's been sitting for 15 years, we'll see.

Wheels have been switched to 16", tires are regular 225/75R16E

4 new mastercraft wildcat in correct 10 ply E range and size are $397 shipped.  There is a brand I’ve never heard of for 329.  So figure 500 for unknown, 600 for an actually heard of brand, or 1500 for goodyear trash that won’t last as long as the cheap stuff and has worse traction, plus mount/balance.

This blew up on my face, when eye-level on the trailer. I got Lasik in Jan, so on the way to get my eyes check out

My 1,500 tire price was based on an assumption that this required more semi-like tires.  Cool to hear it takes a more regular pick up truck tire.

In reply to m4ff3w :

surprise Oh crap!  Hope you're OK.

Looks like a fun project, although do you plan to move it from the street? Unfortunately, I can't have an RV that big as I don't have anywhere to park it.

It'll stay on the street until I get either a clutch in Bill's GTV6 or the GTV6 in the garage.  Either way I need it running and the seized drum freed before it moves.

When you have a chance can you measure how much room between the rear wheelwells ?

and since most of the newer Motor homes have slide out rooms , has anyone done that on a GMC ?

They also sold these as a mobile  "Office"

Eye is ok.  There was a ton of go, they cleaned it out and gave me antibiotic drips.  Still hurts.

I did find this....

Good thing you're OK.   Damage to  the eyes could screw things up, big time.  Just hope that is the only set back you have, and not this........

There's a pretty good resto place that sells these in Ocala, Fl. I think, I drive by it every few months.  These are some of the coolest RV's out there.

Got MMO squirted in the cylinders.

House batteries charged - interior lighting and water pump work.

120v, roof AC WORKS!  Still need to make sure battery charger works.

Looks like it didn't get winterized, there is a some freeze damage in water piping and bathroom faucet.

Thanks.  Sounds were really muted for ~5 minutes, but they are OK.

A '73 with TBI?  That is quite a find. Do you have any info about the conversion and/or when it was done?  Is it the original engine?

I found some old GMC Classic Motorhome Club material with the documentation. And found old GMC Classics Motorhome Club news letters online that mention the original owner, Mr. Elgin Dietz and hit battle with cancer and passing.

Sad, but neat to see a connection to the man that loved this coach dearly before he got sick. It was even mentioned in his obit.
