So my girlfriend and I just picked up an rx7 for her racecar project. Its not super pretty but its a gsl so its a good starting point. Anyway here are some pics:
LSx swap would probably fix it . I know nothing about carbs or triangles. Just throwing it out there.

Have a 6.0 thats getting built up for it. So it will have some oomph but for now we just want it running.
Could just be a crush washer that needs replaced or a crack in one of the pipes? Pull it apart and check for a bad seal surface for the washers.

Small update with no pics: Got the new slave cylinder in after two weeks of prying/drilling the old pin out. Then got brake lights working. Still no turn signals but thats what arms are for.
cool build. already looking better with new shoes and the fender. what was different on the gsl besides having the 13b?
Is the turn signal problem the stalk or the wiring?
If the running lights work but not turn signals on either side, after checking the fuse, harness and relay, you might need to pull the fully insane overengineering that is the FB RX7's flasher unit/turn signal "computer."
Luckily it's usually just cold solder joints.

In reply to 2K4Kcsq:
The gsl still had the 12a. Main changes were disc brakes all around and an LSD rear.
Got the signal relay thing fixed. Cut the wires going to the cruise control (on accident) and that fixed it.
At this point the only things keeping the car from running are a stuck pressure plate (I think) and a carb that keeps flooding. Took the carb off today and we are taking it to my uncle (who knows the nikki really well) tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

I agree. They look awesome and this one sounds great when it works.
Update: the carb that was on there was FUBAR. Luckily we got a couple from a local guy along with a fancy ported intake. Should get it put on soon.
