With no air brakes a CDL is not required, so keep it at a F600 or F700.

Definitely a truck set up for highway miles like this one, not an ex dump truck like ClifFord. Ie: ClifFord 19 leaves in rear, Sampson has 7.

I can't say I expected you to buy another one of these, but boy am I happy that you did. This feels right somehow. Too right.

Amazed/angry/impressed that the 14 MPG this beast gets isn't all that far from the 22 MPG my freaking miata sees.

^^^ I too keep looking at it, especially this picture.

It is an interesting contrast. Though the trucks are similar, the approach different.
On CliFord, it seems that the stock body was retained and the chassis was revised.
On Sampson, the chassis was retained and the body revised.

Though they both have a level of "oddity" about them, CliFord looks more "cartoon-like" and Sampson looks to be "purpose built".

I am eager to get a chance to drive Sampson in a few weeks.

Not too many places you could turn that thing in a circle.

Regular traffic turns are fine other than remembering the length and dually width.

A U turn however, probably 40 feet.

That's about the same as a late 80s Supra. Not bad for a land going naval vessel.

I really wish I could justify one of those. I'd have to buy more property to park it.

Pure awesome.

They usually have a pretty tight turning radius for their size. My international could turn far better than my F350 with the same wheelbase.

Nope, Sampson and ClifFord both fit into one width wise, Sampson easily parks inside the usual parking lines but is way too long for one bay end to end.

I take great pleasure in showing up the one ton guys who think they cannot fit into one space.

As thick as brodozers are around here, I would loooove to own a Sampson, so I could spend my days dozer shaming. "Oh you own an f350? That's cute".
