Congrats on running it! I was looking forward to that update.

How nice! Good to see that you had a successful first test. Better to fail the alternator now :-)

The gearing is less than ideal, we also have the issue with the 2nd-3rd gap. You really need to nail the corner exits to work around that. We're not allowed any gearing changes (except for wheel diameters) so we're kind of stuck with what we have.

Happy about your progress and I think you have reached a nice goal in driving the car on track. Well done!

I am myself continuously amazed about the "race car feel" of this platform. :-)

Thanks Gustaf! I'm also glad the alternator failed now, and not during the first run or right at the beginning of my first race!

My local series doesn't limit gearing changes (Lucky Dog Racing League). However if I choose to run with another group (Champcar, or SCCA) I will be penalized.  Champcar assigns a point value for changing a transmission, SCCA only allows you to change the final drive (i think).  But racing this car in either of those clubs will be less than competitive anyway... I think if I participated with them it would be purely for fun.

I'm also very glad to have reached this goal. And you're right, the car is significantly more race-y than a 4-cyl FWD 4-door suggests!
