In reply to mazdeuce - Seth :
Did you check the Schrader valve in the spare?
In reply to Stampie :
I did not. I was focused on the fact that someone had curbed it and I had to beat it back to round with a hammer. I'll check to make sure it's tight. Good idea.
In this thread: Seth, the world's most overachieving used car salesman, tries to do all of my worrying for me.

it's the internet... there's code for that:

Updates:
I got the flu. Currently already back to feeling like a human, but I'm still inside of that contagion window everybody talks about. I was originally scheduled to be arriving in Texas in roughly 24 hours. I held denial about as long as I could, but finally decided to call it this morning. New date has already been picked and plans are coming together for attempt two.

everyone prob appreciates you not giving them the flu as well.
I think we could have managed exposure on this end to some extent, but those people in the flying metal tube with Daylan will all be happier than they know about that one empty seat.
Seth.....why the pseudonym(Daylan) on this thread ? Oh, and if you're liquidating all essential grosh essentials...due to your new career path/life journey?(explained....uh on Bookface??)...I'm very interested in the MAXLIFT....'scuse, me carry on with Gball.....late
In reply to 759NRNG :
No pseudonym, Daylan is a friend that I met at the National Corvette Museum track when One Lap was there a few years ago. We got on good and keep in touch.
Not liquidating car stuff, just cutting back. The lift is still useful and gets used. A solid.chance that I'll be putting together a race motor for a friend and putting it in his car in the next half year or so. Still an essential tool around here.

I used to use the name Chadeux on here until a thread about real names lead to a trend of people using their real names. Some people like Seth took the hyphen approach. I didn't think anybody really knew who I was yet so I just went all in. Daylan is just my first name and C is my last initial. You might recognize my old Chadeux posts because I've been using the same display pic of my old D350 the entire time I've been on this forum. Even though I sold it nearly 3 years ago. Apparently that's not an uncommon thing around here though.
Edit: I read your post again. If you meant the car. Space and Seth were already referring to the car as the Golfball before I found out about it because it's a white hail damage car.
You two carry on as you see fit!!! any time in Seth's presence is a memorable.....just wonderin' and enjoying the read while being far from my grosh Hou v B'Ham
I got to see GB again this morning and for the first time in daylight. REALLY nice car, it's going to serve Daylan well.
Long day. Made it to my overnight stop at Casa del Gossett. We went and had dinner. It was good. I've been up since 2am so I'm going to try to sleep now. Car is doing great. No drama to report. I'll attempt to do a write up on the full trip when I get home.
For now. Here's a pic of Golfball at a combination convenient store, subway and casino in Louisiana.
Car had good company outside of the clerks office this morning.
And since it's a legal Kentucky resident now it doesn't need a front plate. So that's been removed.
Unfortunately it looks like at some point it took trailer hitch to the nose. I think I should be able to pop the dent out of the bumper cover and then see what I need to do to clean up the scratches and the rust stain. It's an ugly hail damage car but I still care a little.
So I'm finally doing this post. Here goes. This got long as I was typing so I'm splitting it up into multiple posts. I apologize for the lack of pictures in places, I was enjoying the experience too much to remember to find opportunities for pictures. My backup phone I'm currently using also takes pretty awful pictures and it's the only camera I had with me.
Woke up at 2am, was out of the door by 3:15 or so. Made it to the airport in Louisville earlier than planned. Check in and TSA check went surprisingly smooth. One agent complimented me for almost getting everything right as far as getting crap out of my bag and pockets. Observing the people around while I was waiting to board I was please to see that only one or 2 people were in obvious full freak out mode over the coronavirus. Boarding went smooth and fairly quick, slight delay as they decided to spray de-ice all over the plane before take off since they saw some frost on it during their checks. Flight was pretty uneventful other than 1 mild spot of turbulence and me being annoyed that the wifi didn't actually work with my phone, but the 2 hour or so flight still went by pretty quickly. I only included so much detail in this bit because this was actually also my first time flying so the fly part almost as exciting as the drive part to me.
