Talk about making lemondae out of lemons! Congrats on such a positive outcome!
AAZCD's garage of slightly used and broken parts is still available if you need a few things to finish it up. I've got the near-twin of your car that I need to paint a bumper and left fender for (This ones a keeper, not parting out).
I haven't been online much last couple weeks so I missed the bumps, but I never followed up because there hasn't been any issues! I got a slightly beat up black bumper and the last couple plastic pieces I needed from a local part out. Another young guy who unfortunately had IMS failure in a later year 986, he was kind enough to sell me what I needed cheaply.
So, I've just been enjoying Porsche ownership again. I don't hate the black bumper on the dark red, so I haven't really been motivated to do anything about it. Being cashed out of the car does make it a lot easier to enjoy sending it around town though
Insurance just got resolved a few weeks ago and I got my deductible back. I never heard anything concrete, but there were some delays and I was cc'd on some documents back and forth that sounded like the Lambo's insurance was putting up a fight. Hard to believe with the video, but it all worked out. I'm going to pull a Carfax on it in a couple months to see how the accident shows up on there since there were no title changes as far as Tennessee registration was concerned. I'll update here when I do. Thanks for following along guys!
I guess that wasn't the best picture to show because it isn't the crashed side, but they're looking pretty symmetrical these days haha
Glad it worked out OK! Mid engined six cylinder Integra could have been an interesting back up plan...
