With a 6 or so week old grand kid, my build priorities have been rearranged for me.
It started out as "Do we still have that old wagon in the garage attic?" Yep.
Whenever I see an old bed frame on the side of the road I toss it in the back of the truck, aka free angle iron. So.... lets disassemble it, paint, alter, blah, blah, blah, rats. Well, if you lay some rails on the garage floor, all of a sudden it looks like a hot rod. Hmmmm....
A 1968 Torino donated its valve covers just hours before it met the crusher. An old Edelbrock air cleaner in the back of a cabinet and it's started.
Quality Control Inspector.
I flattened the front axle support with a piece of wood and a vise. 12" wheels out back, 6" up front. I welded two coffee cans together for a fuel tank (it will leak), then bent up some sheet metal for a manifold. I mocked up the whole thing on the bench on separate angle irons. I slipped nicely over the frame rails, but forgot that the frame has been cut down for ground clearance. Tomorrow I will cut that as the manifold, valve covers etc comes off in one swell foop.
I lengthened the handle about 20". I was just about the click "Buy it Now" for two more 12" wheels out back but really didn't want to throw another $45 at it.

There were about a dozen in the basement of a home on our installation (we make cannon since 1813), so I snagged two. Cast steel with a cannon ball welded on top.
