So since I'm still awaiting my F2T MX-3 to get back from the frame machine, I decided to get this one up and going. I got the VW wheels with new tires for a song. I installed a new slave cylinder but the clutch still doesnt seem to be quite releasing quite all the way, but I have a new master to hopefully resolve it. Also I ordered a set of shifter bushings as this short shifter, and not fully releasing clutch makes it a bit of a pain to drive easily.
Sure does make some really awesome noises though!
Well I've had the car legal now for a couple weeks now, so far... so good! I believe the alternator is on its way out, as the lights seem to pulse most of the time, the dash lights are in op, as is the tach. Hope to figure those out tomorrow :-)
Did you get the clutch sorted? I'd make sure it actually has the right brake and clutch master cylinder.
Check the alternator, if you haven't already. I had one die on me, with all your symptoms.

light pulsing is alt, pretty sure teh dash lights and tach are unrelated to alt.
Fixed! Alternator was the culprit. Now to figure out the Tach, Dash Lights, Etc....
I've been driving this thing daily, and absolutely love it!!! When the VRIS opens up I swear it sounds like a crotchrocket!!! I was able to get the dash lights working (no bulbs in the sockets), Tach operational (External Coil Mod) as the PO rax an aftermarket one, The Temp Sensor was just had a dirty connection now the car is 100%. If the Probe sells, I'm gonna do coilovers & maybe a MegasquirtPnP.
So, it's an MX3 with a swapped in V6 pushing out 200hp? This is neat.
