You guys suck
I sit at my desk with a creality cr10 Max, that makes me wonder why anyone would buy these. My boss chose the cr10 Max. He shouldn't have. I guess it's a good printer at 3-400. At 1k, this thing shouldn't exist.
Anyone with the Ender 3 needs to get an auto bed leveling kit. I've stopped even checking it after I hit print. I just walk out of the room.
In reply to Mr_Asa :
That's a waste of money on a printer with that small of a bed. Auto leveling on something like a CR10 or a big delta makes sense but if you need auto leveling on an Ender3 you didn't set your machine up very well.
In reply to RacetruckRon :
Agreed. It's a misnomer; it doesn't level the bed. It just compensates for an out of level /warped bed.

FTFY.
The CHEP squares or corner leveling H Code and the upgraded yellow bed springs make leveling an easy affair. Once it's dialed in I just watch the skirt print and fine tune it on the fly.
Sorry, I disagree. I have spent probably an hour per every 4 full rolls of filament just in screwing with leveling, fine tuning, tweaking, and then monitoring it for the first two layers. Every two large prints the bed needs to be checked at a minimum, possibly adjusted.
Add in the time to wait for the bed and extruder to warm up in order to actually check those few things and if I'm doing a lot of small prints it can be an hour for less than a roll.
With the BL Touch I literally make sure the bed is clean, select the print, then walk out. I dont even wait for it to warm up.
You may not think it is worth it, but I easily think it is.
I gave the old ender a good workout over the past few days.
Just under 2 days of print time at 0.14 mm layer height. Right before I printed it I installed the CHEP hot end fix as I was starting to have a little bit of stringing. Unfortunately while printing the moon I developed a leaky hot end that left this mess:
I had to dissemble the whole hot end to get blobbed plastic off of it. The blobbing is the main issue that the mod was supposed to prevent. Oh well. Made sure everything was snug after cleaning it up and will give the mod one more chance.

I got an ender 3 because of this thread and would love to take you up on your offer. Hit me up at my username at yahoo

I've been having some blobbing/stringing issues with my last few prints, too. I saw that hotend fix, and decided to just replace my whole PTFE tube with the Capricorn stuff. Still having issues, unfortunately...
In reply to Tom_Spangler :
Make sure your nozzle is tight and the PTFE tube is pushed in tight. You can even back the nozzle off a half turn, push in the tubing, then tighten the nozzle.
I printed a Peppa Pig coin for the toddler to test. Still a bit of leaking out of the top of the heat block, but not as much as before. I tried tightening up the coupling a bit more, but if that doesn't work I'm swapping out the whole PTFE tube.
So far I've done a 3-point Y carriage, dual gear extruder and capricorn tubing to my ender. It's been getting a workout this past week, serving as my stress relief since I'm "essential"
I've been printing a bunch of masks for friends and family.
I remixed the cap for the filter to give it a bit of flair and published my first part on thingiverse!

Great idea , How about Ford Chevy Honda Toyota etc and of course VW and Porsche

Nice! Just add a filter on the end of each tube and you are set! I've been tempted to make a plague doctor filter mask.
In reply to bgkast :
I modified the male thread versions of this. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4193275
Then I printed the hose attachments on top of them so I could use the rest of the screw on attachments.
I really need to get my hands on one of these to print out some plastic trim pieces for the Mercedes, as parts from the yard are equally brittle as the parts coming apart on mine.
That plague doctor mask is a neat idea. I'd love to walk around with one in hopes of getting odd stares from the neighbors.
Ive been wanting one of these for a few months. I saw them on Amazon for like $259 or something. Then came on here today and seen the listing on Creality site. I'll be pulling the trigger this week. I cant wait to get started. I'm already planning to get a note book to keep track of the upgrades you guys are doing.
Well, I finally got some filament for my Ender 3.
The "Hello World" puppy went well.
So before I went to bed I kicked off a 5 hour print of a wrench holder.
Only to wake up this morning and find this mess...
It's a learning experience for sure.
