Yes thanks 😊
by wide I did mean track width
stock Miata is ~59" track width with stock offsets
stock Smart Fortwo is ~60" height
dropping it over an inch and a little more aggressive offset and I'll be past there I think
I test fit the first motor mount, I need to tweak the angle a bit. This mount is tricky because I want to leave clearance to service the water outlet housing without having to remove the mount and this motor is designed to be suspended from above by its frame, not friendly to being held up from below within limited space
i have to find another way to suspend the motoritself here in my backyard to go much further with this, my sling is in the way 😊

Front engine Rear drive Smart car?
This is the right kind of nuts. You definitely fit right in.
Intereting find on that audi reverse rotation diff.. what year range can be use? i was looking at r1200 and k1300 engines as they are light and compact and was bogged hy the reverse output.. that maybe a solution!. I wide is the audi diff (flange to flange) i could build flange adaptor to fit na6 axles

I'll dig through my pile of leftover Subaru parts and see if there's anything that might be useful. Feel free to remind me.
Do you still need Subaru transmission parts?
In reply to Keith Tanner :
Hey thanks but I'm not using Subaru parts since I've switched to the Audi differential

Honestly there are many Audis and Vw's that use a reverse rotation
it is easy to identify by simply looking for the ring gear bump, if the ring gear is on the left side of the pinion then it's the way most automotive diffs are, but the reverse rotation diffs will have the ring gear on the right side of the pinion so right side of the housing, when you see the ring gear on the right side then it will work for this reverse rotation
i like what's happening here. carry on.

Oh thank you! They does not seems to have factory lsd available, but the aftermarket does have somes. Maybe theres some porsche version of those diff..
Could you measure the approximate flange to flange width?
