Architect says i'll have drawings to sign off on at beginning of week. Honestly if i knew it would drag out this far i would have probably pulled my permit application and shut down mentally. Knowing i'm going to be framing and roofing in december berkeleying blows.
menards came through and got me the rebate that fell through the cracks.
td ameritrade berkeleyed me hard with a glitch that wouldn't let me trade one of my cheap otc stonks that I bought 1000 shares of at .21 and Thursday it went steadily to 1.54 as I frantically tried to sell, but there was a lock on it and they wouldn't let me trade. By the time they fixed the lock Thursday evening so I could trade it it was back down to .15. That would have been a welcome chunk of money to go towards this project

*Rubs hands in glee*
I think i'm now officially at a net of 0 wheels added or removed this year and i was trying really hard to get rid of wheels.
final number on the truck was 23.5mpg average. Checks out with the mileage covered and starting with a full tank this morning.
12.5 hours, 14 wheels 2 carbs 1 oil pan 1 set of rods 1 box of pistons 1 box of coffee and tea and 1 bag of candy received, 1 nitrous system 1 plexi sheet 1 3.73 r&p set delivered, additional plexi sheet relayed 35 miles across Michigan from warren to other patrick. Got to wail on the mofosports lexus gs430 for a little bit. Good mental health day after conquering some morning anxiety
Great visit, as always. Thanks for making the trip.
And we got to go to the place where Cadillacs go to get pooped on.
It was a good trip and I'm glad to see that you could unwind for a minute.

Nailed it.
I was wondering if the new permit got berkeleyed up and you found an old permit that was still open... I think I just need to get more sleep.
Now the actual work can begin. Permit printed, Twan is coming over this morning to lay out the footing with me, then a bit later it's time to take down the deck and get ready to dig. I didn't remove the deck earlier because if this whole process went sideways my contingency plan was to add enough to the side for a stairway and add a couple rooms up under the new roof with no permit. With the amount of ass pain over this, i understand why people try and sneak stuff through without permits, but professionally we have never tried to sneak in we always register and get permits.
exterior door ordered, I couldn't quite get the combo i wanted for less than $1000 - 6 9/16 jamb for 2x6 walls, rot proof composite jamb, fiberglass door with half glass in a not plain clear glass but not leaded with floral shapes and brass caming old people stuff. So menards has a 36x80 6 panel solid door with all the other specs, and they sell half lite primed steel doors with the fancier glass and no frame pretty darn cheap. So i cut a little, swap the glass into the fiberglass panel, and the door I need is $500. The half lite glass is the same dimensions as the top panels of a 6 panel door for manufacturing purposes since they start with the same 6 panel door slabs and cut them for glass. I'm unfortunately no stranger to cutting doors for retrofit glass so...
