Butyl tape for sealing fuel pump access cover

Hi everyone. I need to post a thread about the associated project, but had a specific question first....I pulled the fuel pump access cover in my Toyota Prius V, and to put it back, the FSM calls for butyl tape. I've found 3M 08578, but a) I don't need 60 feet of this, and b) I don't really want to spend $32 for it. 

If anyone has recommendations for something similar that is cheaper and in smaller quantity, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

I just bought some for about $8 at the local RV Trailer shop. It is used for all sorts of roof assemby, there. You will still likely have to buy 30 feet, but it is only $8, so not too bad.
