BITCHIN CAMARO, BITCHIN CAMARO I ran over my neighbors
BITCHIN CAMARAO, BITCHIN CAMARO Now it's in all the papers.
My folks bought me a BITCHIN CAMARO with no insurance to match; So if you happen to run me down, please don't leave a scratch.
I ran over some old lady one night at the county fair; And I didn't get arrested, because my dad's the mayor.
BITCHIN CAMARO, BITCHIN CAMARO Doughnuts on your lawn...........
you know the rest.
As much as I hate GM products, I must admit that second generation Z28s look just right
I'm happy someone other than me remembers that song :)
So, what the hell happened with this thing?
Challenge car got in the way...
Got back to this one finally, found that the last time it was worked on it was put away without the air cleaner on it, which means the carb was completely exposed to the elements. Reinforcing my removal of the poor excuse for a mechanic recently.
This should have been a battery check, oil change and fresh fuel, but nope now we have to delve deeper.
Air into the tires, pulled it into the shop and up onto the lift, pulled the carb and intake which were genuinely nasty, full of water and corrosion. Drained the oil and this was also full of water.
Cleaning out the intake and picked up fresh gaskets, plugs, oil, filter, silicone and such.
Left it draining the fluids, sprayed WD40 into each plug hole and letting it dry out and drain fully while the carb is rebuilt.
Not the start I was hoping for.

Dang. That is unfortunate...
Walter, this is my Amy.
Installed the intake, new thermostat, reinstalled ecerything up to the carb.
Waiting on the rebuilt carb before it should be up and running again, fingers crossed.
What tires are the cool kids running in Lemons now? Are the same tire legal for Chump?
2.3: Tire Eligibility: DOT-approved street tires only, minimum treadwear rating 190, factory cast into sidewall; no exceptions. BTW, don't call us to moan that there aren't any good tires sold in that range. That's the damn point.
It's alive, despite the abuse it has seen. A couple of oil changes later, a set of plugs, cleaned the intake and rebuilt the carb, starts first turn of the key, every time, now.
I just realized I'm two hours away from you. If you ever need someone to drive all the things you have sitting around, y'know, just to keep them feeling loved, holler.
A replacement carb is definitely required, a rebuild did not fix this old thing

I realize this is a month old, but I'm new here and you don't have an answer.
Most of the heavier A class lemons cars are running Direzza ZIIs, Azenis RT615ks or Rivals. I keep Direzzas on my heavy B class car and love them. We get about 32 hours out of them.
Chump has the same tire rules IIRC so you should be fine over there as well.
