Johny, I have pulled the power steering and saw your pictures where you modified the rack. I assume you thought it would steer too hard if you didn't remove the seal in the rack. Do you think it would steer too hard if the lines are just looped together? Was thinking of doing that instead, I just can't make up my mind if it is going to steer hard I may one day want to put the PS back on.

You'd probably be fine looping them. I don't have any experience with that on the lexus, specifically, though. If you posted a general topic question about this, I'm sure others would chime in and give you some useful feedback.

There might be some other good existing threads on the topic too (searching is a little difficult here). Might be some good info in this one: https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/de-powering-power-steering/6212/page1/

I decided I just didn't have time to pull the rack, so I pulled the valve on top of the gear and gutted the spool and blocked the line connections from/to the pump. Rack spins with one finger on jackstands, but man is this baby hard to turn when driving slow. I saved everything, I may in time put the ps back on. Anyway, thanks for the info and advice.
