We have now ran a best of 11.03 @ 126mph. looking for that 10 second pass... I would love to make it happen at the challenge but idk how to get a 3rd car there lol.

I certainly hope so! AND to think i was originally somewhat upset about the amount i had to return to stock for an altima race/Destruction derby. Had to slap myself back to reality and realize how awesome it was to get a car that had so many good parts and potential. It wasnt super easy to get it back together but it wasnt terribly difficult. Really looking forward to seeing how it drives. we may even put it on the dyno for the heck of it lol

It's an SUV right? Just tow one of the Challenge cars with it for maximum clout.

This is the way. A Challenge Car, towed by a challenge truck... Maximum win.

I considered this but it has drag brakes on the front and no brake controller/ trailer brakes on my trailer. So i kind of ruled that out lol

They were fairly reliable, but the engine was the source of failures. Probably from being tuned to get best fuel mileage. Make sure you run decent octane. Being competitive in champcar requires 2 hour stints. Lots of people pop engines from trying to lean the engine out to make the 2 hours with the fuel available.

Out of all the projects you have been managing to make happen at somewhat blinding speed, a cheap brake kit and controller is what's gonna stop you from winning the drags?

I can tell you that my trailblazer will not win the overbudget drags this year lol. I would need to bring the cobra for that lol
Shes all put back together and washed up and man does she look good! New window net showed up today and the harness shows up tomorrow. We are aiming for test n tune on wednesday to see how it performs the quarter mile on 200 treadwear tires. I have 10 dollars into a pair of old 15x8 cragar wheels if needed and still open budget for tires since im going to use what came on this. It may benefit from a set of slicks...
Some updates from today. Ive put a lot of time into this car this past week and for good reason, next week we shift focus to the splitfire. However on wednesday we are taking the altima to test n tune to see how she performs on 200tw tires and will use that info to make a decision to buy slicks or not. I have a pair of cragar 15x8 steel wheels im 10 bucks into xourtesy of turkey rod run circa 2021. Anywat, progress pics below.
13 dollars worth of misc. Hardware from lkq junkyard and the engine bay is completely done minus a little clean.
New harnesses and window net arrive and installed. Safety first kids.
Low credit Racing team has now been cemented by this decal.
Amd last but not least. Todays win was picking up the cars secret weapon for the drags from a gentleman in merrit island. 100 bucks for a pretty basic setup.
My guess for what the car weighed was about 2500 lbs. I was close but i was surprised it was still thos heavy. But all things considered it's still a lot lighter than the stock curb weight of 3300lbs. First pic is the car weight only, second is with me in it.
I love 3d printers, i cant say that enough. Needed a switch panel to hold a few switches now the dash is gone. 40 minutes later and the solution is mounted. The 3rd slot will be for my nitrous arming switch.
Nothing like making useful parts for pennies on the dollar.

thanks bud! what are you bringing this year?
i'm not making it this year :( Going to be in Puerto Rico for a little vacation. Good luck!
Just when you thought sharing the track with an altima couldn't be more terrifying, it now has nitrous.
You've been warned.
