Yea, I made custom dies for our dake (pullmax). I can take some pictures of them if you like? Basically you make a small square with cardboard on the panel and pour bond in to get the body line. then grind it to the dies (3/4 square stock) since the body line was so steep i actually had to mig up some filler metal and regrind them steeped to accommodate the springing back. The school is awesome! everything you would need is there.

LS6 intake is finally here from Kuwait. Came with all the injectors, rails, throttle body, and sensors. its a non egr intake. Anbody know if i should use these injectors over the stock 4.8l injectors with the turbos?

Glancing around for about a minute has the internet telling me the LS6 injectors are actually smaller than the 4.8 units. Which I doubt in the extreme. Probably best to get the part numbers from both the 4.8 and the LS6 and look up flow rates that way.
I would look pretty hard at that 1,000 HP 4.8 turbo build Hot Rod pulled off a couple years ago and copy a lot of that as far as hardware used.

What an awesome idea! Subaru motors seem to be at home in so many different cars. I had a '91 Legacy EJ22 swapped into my old '84 Vanagon. Miss that thing!
I'll definitely be following this story!

That's a helluva place to find an intake, but if it was right, came on.

Certainly the most roundabout way of getting one! LOL
I love where this is going. Door skin looks like it's coming out great, too.

If cheap power is what you're after I'd look up Matt Happel of Sloppy Mechanics fame. Running 10s on junkyard and eBay parts regularly

Not sure. Just chiming in to say 'thank you' for keeping this project alive.
Rule of thumb from all the turbo people I've been in contact with is this...
The closer to the actual exhaust outlets of the engine the turbo is, the better. The turbocharger actually runs off more of the heat energy than the actual velocity. You'll get people argue both ways and yes, it does require velocity as well, but the heat energy is the main driving force. Sure, the STS turbo kits work great and they're mounted at the back of the car, so there's that too. I'm just passing on knowledge from Corky Bell in person to person discussions I have had with him.
In your application though, I don't think it will matter too much. If there's room there to mount the turbo's right off the heads, then do that. If you want to have them out back and up top for everyone to see, then by all means, do it. You won't really notice a difference in this application.

That exhaust is going to be so sweet! Music!
Thank you for making it equal length...
Nice artwork with the headers!
Dude, those headers are insane!!! Slap a couple of turbo's off those collectors and you're going to have a blast!!! If you're going for the whole perfectly symmetrical thing, check out Nelson Racing Engines. They have patented the mirror image turbocharger.

sweet tapdancing jeebus those headers are breathtaking, and bonkers. Love that this project still has a heartbeat!
Wow amazing work on the headers! It's even going to sound like the original engine! When you take this on the streets you're gonna drown in it man!

From the Dept. of Redundancy Dept., I'll be redundant--
Those headers are magnificent. I'm curious to see where the mufflers are going to fit into the equation.
All I know is, there probably aren't many LSx 308 Dino GT4's out there.
