Aside from the actual servicing of the transmission the part I'm least looking forward to is getting the trans tunnel back in. What a fiddly pain of a simple job that is!

As a TR6 owner, I feel your pain.  There is always at least one bolt on the tunnel cover that will not thread in, and getting to them can be a workout.

I was young and dumb and threw away all of the factory seat hardware thinking it would be easy to find replacements.

Not the case. I've been looking for years.

They're not perfect by any means but the pans aren't rusty and the leather is actually in quite good condition. I'm not sure I'll even get to it this year but I'll prep and dye them black and get rid of the aftermarket ones that just don't work well in there at all.

Hard to say without seeing them in person but cleaned up that color might give a nice contrast to the black interior... either way nice score!

You know, my mom made the same comment. I could always toss them in and see. I sort of think that with NO other tan they'll look out of place but it's worth exploring.
