I use those pruning sawzall blades for a lot of stuff including 6x6 poles.

They are way better than you'd think definitely

I had to get some help cutting up a 30"+ diameter Cottonwood that fell in my yard. The tree guy brought an 120cc Stihl with a 41" bar and chain. It still had to work on the tree but did a good job. Now if I could just get the pieces moved around I'd be happy. That was one hell of a saw though.

So, I finally had an opportunity to use break in my 372XP Pro Clone saw last weekend to while processing ~1 cord of firewood.

It's jetted rich, which I left to help it break in on 40:1 Echo Red Armor.  I had to lower the idle a hair, but that was the only carb adjustment needed.

It. berkeleying.  Rips.  After a few tanks my buddy and I did a head to head in an 20" log, and was easily 4 or 5 seconds faster thru the log than his Echo CS590 with a 24" bar.

Much smoother in the cut too than the Echo, which was my benchmark for a good saw.  Doesn't have the midrange torque of the Echo, but lots more on top.

As it cycled thru tanks, it seemed to pick up more power too.  Going to run it a few more tanks before I lean it out a hair, as you can tell it's just ever so slightly on the rich side.

I'm very, very happy with it.  Only thing I need to do is replace the fuel line - it's just a hair short and doesn't allow the filter to sit all the way down in the bottom of the tank, and you can't burn all the fuel out of the tank before seeing fuel starvation.

It does seem to use a lot more fuel than the Echo.  How much of that is jetting is unknown.

The muffler mod on my saw is ridiculously loud but with a set of ear muffs is quite pleasant lol

i'm stoked to hear you love it! Ever since i saw this thread a few weeks back i have totally gone down the rabbit hole of chainsaw stuff. I've heard a lot of guys say that the clones pick up more power as they break in so you should gain some more as you run it.

I've also heard that some of the non-pro 372 clones can have some casting flash and poor port quality, which to me means that when I get one it's basically required to open it up and give it a port job right away. there's a guy on YouTube who i like (shoutout Dyno Joe Mods) who did some relatively standard porting/squish cutting on a 372 clone and went from 5.35hp/3.58tq to 7.79hp/4.14tq which is nuts. that's getting pretty close to 90cc power from a 72cc saw

This is my first chainsaw, so i don't have a good frame of reference, but this little 340 seems to run really good! It pulled a 20" bar through this red cedar (dunno how hard red cedar is) like a champ. I had to back the high carb screw out a bit so i'm assuming i picked up some extra power. It takes a second to come back to idle so it may have an air leak...TBD. But i'm stoked with it

My buddy who owns the log splitter was wanting it back to process some firewood for his home, and I had a 20' trailer load of logs (and a huge stump) that needed to be processed before the splitter went back to it's owner, so me, my buddy, and my other buddy who owns the splitter tag teamed on Saturday afternoon and busted it all out and got everything stacked - probably about 1 cords worth.

I don't have any pictures of my 372XP Clone, but I did snap a pic of the stump with buddy #1's Echo CS590 w/24" bar sitting on top.  We quartered the stump up and then noodled it down to manageable sizes

I also used my 2511T Clone on some small limbs and am still really impressed by it.  So light and handy, and pretty gutsy.

We also had a bunch of rain and wind, and the neighbor's dead tree fell down - and I was asked to cut it up.  So I will be playing around after work this week with various saws.

Now that the 372XP Clone is broke in - I ordered a velocity stack, 2" pod filter, and a Husky OEM fuel line to swap in to help with the fuel starvation issue (Chinese OEM line is a bit too short and doesn't let the filter lay down in the bottom of the tank all the way) before I retune it.  I left it tuned pretty fat for break in, but she's broken in now.

Still loving this saw.  The exhaust makes me giggle everytime.

Had a chance to pull down the 372XP for some maintenance and mods yesterday

Removed the top cover, and OEM intake plenum, and installed the 3D printed velocity stack and solid foam air filter from Red Beard Saws

The new filter is a custom 3D Printed boot mated to a solid foam filter, that fits under the factory cover.  Much better protection from fines, and probably a little bit smoother intake flow.  Factory pleated filter shown first.

Installed the filter and velocity stack and proceeded to put the tach on it.

maximum rpm for the saw is 13,600 for the factory

With the factory carb settings (rich) , and the better flowing intake, it was limited to 10,600 rpm

I leaned out the high side to 13,400 for a little safety cushion and it is wild.  I knew the tune was leaving some on the table but I wasn't expecting 3000 rpm worth.

I had to lower the idle a bit more too - tells me that the intake setup flows a bit more.

Now to go bury it in some wood
