S2 still isn't fully seated on the frame, need to grind back the mounts for the roll bar a bit for it to get seated.
Gonna put the twin cam up for sale shortly, just the body, has a title in my name
the S2 came with one of the ever so rare ashtrays. So that's my retirement fund sorted

Took about a tenth off of the mounts and it slid right on

Yeah it was only 7ish years old when it last drove on the street. Which is about right for a British car

No progress today because I'm busy visiting my dad and getting tattooed
but I did fit the wheel's and adjust ride height in the front 
was too low to get a jack on the front part of the frame so I lifted it by the jack points behind the front wheels, which are pure fiberglass. They're listed in the workshop manual but feel so sketchy, but it worked fine and I didn't even get any of that crackly fiberglass noise
Ignore how messy it is, I've got 3 Europa worth of parts in a 1 car garage

I don't blame you at all....and it does nothing more than "want" to do one in my mk1 gti....although, I want that car to be a miata based suspension, so getting power to the rear wheels in a front engine may be a cost prohibitive challenge
Some people have front engine, rear wheel drive bike engined cars. From what I've seen they usually use a drive shaft rather than a chain. They also make inline reverse gears for that application. The bike powered lotus 7 clones would be a good place to look for inspiration

There's a good video by Garage 54 on YouTube recently where they put a bike engine in a Lada, and their solution for reverse was to install the bike engine with transmission, send a driveshaft back to a modified transmission under the car (keeps the shifter in the right place and gives you a reverse gear) and then stock drivetrain from there back.
It probably increases drivetrain losses by a ton to have two transmissions inline, but it does give you a lot of gear options and simplify design. Ideally you could leave the bike transmission in one gear and then shift with the car transmission from there on out. They ended up adding another lever in the car to shift the bike transmission too.
Saw a YouTube video where a guy just ran a snowmobile engines CVT into the stock trans of his car to keep reverse. He also had 3 redundant forward gears due to the CVT lol
Going crazy trying to figure out why the brake pedal wasn't returning, bled the brakes a bunch, did some research, spiraled for a bit, then realized I had just tightened the pivot too much. Loosened it and it's fine
Got the shifting working well. Working on wiring, didn't realize brake light switches are normally closed instead of normally open, will need to rethink my bracket and maybe make a linkage for my lever type switch
Rigged up a zip tie actuated brake light switch for the time being, got head lights working too. Just trying to figure out the turn signals, should be wired correctly according to the schematics in the painless wiring kit, but getting nothing. I have a normal flasher in it right now, so I need an LED one, but I was full expecting either a solid turn signal or hyper flash. Am I wrong and getting absolutely nothing is normal?
A bit sick, so I didn't have the energy today to get everything done to go for a drive, but did have enough to give it a Rev and run through the gears after adjusting the shifter and riveting in the throttle cable holder thing.
the "sd" error code is because I don't have a steering damper plugged in, I'm either gonna find the right resistor to silence it or just be lazy and buy a plug in damper delete module
also need to adjust the parking brake cable and probably get a quick disconnect for the steering wheel, both to make it easier to get In and out but also to get the wheel closer to my, super far away right now since I'm planning on pouring a foam seat rather than using a stock one
