After polish and spit shine the front yard price may go up, the mileage will scare most people away.  Comparing to others in MI, $5k gets you a sub 200k car with issues, nice ones with 200k or less ask $6-7k.  I have one more patch to add on the bottom then it will be ready to go.  That's my other issue, would I buy a car with a patched frame, maybe, but I would definitely buy one that I would be fixing.  I just assume most are picky like me, reality is at this price range and for how it drives no one will even look under it.  Case and point my neighbor sold an Escape with a sub-frame attachment point missing from rust.

I remember having to look at the tach on the way home to see if it was still running, smooth like a BMW 6.

This is generally why I'm doing for the bottom holes.

Welding rusty stuff is not fun.  Some weld are better than this some are worse.

A couple spots like this where the bottom rotted out starting with the weld.  It seems like the inner and outer rails are different thickness of steel.

Really impressed with your fixes @akylekoz, exactly what I would have done (except likely messier).

" That's my other issue, would I buy a car with a patched frame, maybe, but I would definitely buy one that I would be fixing.  I just assume most are picky like me." - exactly how I feel.

Can't wait to see the truck, look forward to taking her home!
