Purchased this car a couple of months ago and it has been on the sidelines while I remodeled my micro garage. The car  is turboed and will break traction just about anytime you like. I describe the power as "violent". At least to this old man, as you can see the car will fly.

This run and other clips of the car are on youtube.

Anyway my intent is to concentrate on refreshing and weight reduction, Starting at the front with headlight delete, carbon hood, all plexiglass, fiberglass doors, deck lid, dash, digital dash, some kind of flares or overlays, not sure I can lighten the fenders much, below is a picture of my progress. I am looking for any advice on reducing the harness other than following components back to the source and eliminating items like lights, wipers, windows, hvac, I want the car to start, run have brake lights etc..........if you look at my e46 build I do not want to get into the wiring mess I did there........ anyway the band played on.

Help reducing the harness!

Based on the first pic, this looks really exciting. Either that or someone mounted the wing upside down :)

Looking forward to this.

So... why focus so much on the weight? With that much power, does reducing weight further really matter?

Just curious. I'd probably do similar but not to that full extent

Because lighter weight means better performance all around, and it's a lot more reliable than turning up the boost further :)

I'd be upgrading those brakes ASAP.  500+ whp and the stock brakes?  No freaking way would I drive that car in anger on the track with the stock brakes for more than a few laps.

Not a problem if it won't hook up :)

That first pic makes me think it's a hillclimber - or least, was built as one. I don't know what the brake requirements are for hillclimb, I assume they're less than if you were racing DOWN the hill.

Update: found a short of the car on the Weatherly hillclimb. That course is a mile long. So it's more like an autox in terms of brake requirements.

And fully explains airborn. A reasonable H Production Sprite would get air at Weatherly in 1969.
