Another build thread before I claim the vehicle? Sure why not.

This one found me for a reasonable price through a family member. Since the Saturn left I'm down to just the Miata for a daily, so my brain convinced me this is a good idea.
The fact that it matches my Miata is a complete accident.

Those seem to be good trucks.
I had one of those a couple of years ago.

It was fun to mess with. Mad parts available both new and used.
I dig lowered trucks so I whacked it with the Belltech stick.

My local Facebook marketplace is teeming with parts for these trucks. I'd bet yours is too.
Looking forward to the thread !
Just keep a backup transmission and it will last forever(or until it rusts apart).
I had a 2001 Tahoe and it was probably the most well rounded daily driver you could ever have. Nice enough to pick people up from the airport and not be embarrassed but E36 M3ty enough that you could haul parts around in the back.
In reply to Patientzero :
I plan on doing a couple cheap simple things to extend the life of this trans, and am semi tempted to just swap to a 4L80E when this one lets go.
If you want the original 17's off my 05 avalanche you can have them. I may have some bits sitting around for that platform or i may have given them all to stampie

You gave me square body stuff but I don't remember anything for my 99 other than that washer bottle.
It's actually home now. Need to finish putting the dash in mom's crappy Durango back together and put the trans back in Spacecadet's crappy Miata before I start playing with it.

2wd extended cab "standard" bed. I was reminded that starting with this generation of trucks, the crew cabs got an even shorter bed than this.

Seeing this post made me happy that Cousin Eddie was back. ....... Then I noticed the date. I kinda miss that guy.
6.5' bed. the 5'8" bed didn't come until 2004. 04-06 CC 1500 had it standard and the extended cab could be had in either.
