That I can thumbs-up that post but just once will haunt me in my dreams for eternity. Bless the beautiful crazy that inhabits this glorious place. Let us exault his name, he who wields both welder, and insanity, in equal measure, and doles out his just righteousness in the form of wrought steel and octane.

This looks awesome! The proportions are still a little off but the look is there.

In reply to jstancel:

Seems like you can channel a lot of the parts to get the proportions correct. For sure, that front fender to raise the bottom up.

On the cab, you could almost do the channel right off the bottom.

Something to play with on a picture edit program....

It is my friend's truck. It is basically an S13 240sx. It has 240 front and rear subframes, an SR20, and a full cage. He has it for sale if you know anyone that is interested.

Back to work on the truck:

Took the bed off to make mounts for it to be a permanent fixture

Bed off restoration

We needed a "patch" panel to close the gap to the cab. Old Navy must have had stock in bondo

Patching things up

Looks tough with the hood off

Hood's off

Is it bad I think the proportions look better with the hood off?

As a child I thought the only fast cars had part of the engine sticking out of the hood. That logic makes me agree that no hood is better.

This thing needs a Folvo turbo swap.

This build is starting to remind me of 'Mater (from Cars). Maybe his cousin 'Miater?

And now we have a name for the project. I don't know why, but these body swap builds fascinate me and make me want to take a tape measure to every car I see.

I really like where this is going. One question tho. That seems like some very heavy body parts going on to the chassis that normally carries some very light weight body parts. Are you beefing up the suspension any?

It has coilovers with stiffer spring rates. I don't think it will be too terribly heavy but for sure heavier than stock.

I would need a boom on the back to be Miater. I think that's a great idea...

I like it!! Even if it's just for looks, the boom would send it over the edge.
