Took 3rd place in local show this AM:
Drove there. Drove home.
Had a delayed departure from home, though, as I ran out of gas at the end of my driveway. 😢

Super cool.
Is that a 500 parked next to you? I'm not close to that world, but they don't seem to get preserved or restored at the same rate as the more highly optioned cars. It's almost exciting to see a base model anything anymore.

Bright drip rail trim = Monza. I think he just didn't put the fender badges back on after paint.

Also joking about 3rd place. It wasn't a show, just the monthly breakfast meeting of the Detroit Area Corvair Club. 2 cars and 1 van showed up.
see the "park brake" in the driveway without a car? See the car in the street all crooked?
yeah. prior to this photo opp, the car was stationary with LF tire hanging on that 2x4 for at least 5 minutes. I was in the garage looking at data when I heard a metallic POP and looked up to see the car rolling away from me. Fortunately the drivers window was open, as I was able to chase her down and get about 1/2-turn CW on the wheel just as she dropped off the apron. Missed AW's Saab by about a foot. God bless you, C4 rack with your 2-1/4 turns lock to lock.
yes I have wheel chocks. Yes they are now in the car.
maybe I shut it off in gear and wasn't actually hanging on the 2x4, and it popped out of gear? E36 M3, that would be really odd for me. I pull up the driveway, stop, open door, set 2x4 on ground, *slowly* roll back until the car is resting against the 2x4, then kill the engine and exit the car. I can't imagine I did it any different this time.

Should upgrade to a 4x4, my dude. Or, I'm sure you have enough 10 gauge or thicker to make some wheel chocks.

LOL.
I mean, considering the track record, maybe he should have another ready.

I have six on the shelf for when I need them. 😳

Then being on the shelf might be the problem
I'd make a joke too, but I nearly did the same thing with the lotus the other day before I got the parking brake properly adjusted
I love the current patina of the blue paint. Any plans to age the added color or leave it nice and shiny?

That, my friend, will be revealed at the Challenge. Or perhaps sooner, as I'm really not that big on keeping secrets.

It's a mash-up of sorts, inspired by a couple of 69s with a splash of AC flavor:
As well as:
I was toying with other ideas as well (71 cuda billboard, Baldwin Motion 2nd-gen Camaro, hockey sticks front and/or rear), and this is where I ended up. I really dig it. I will say though, this is something I should have worked on last week, when we had temps in the 70s. 🤘🏻😎
