Still no decision on the e82; pretty frustrated to tell you the truth. The new truck has worked well, did 2k miles this week and pulled down 20.8 mpg. Not shabby.
That tank was driving into the wind on I90 all the way from NY to home.
Also, my tire equipment arrived. I'm pretty excited since this broadens my ability to fit wheels quicker lol

Already has, I shucked 24 tires off of spare wheels in my barn last weekend and dropped them in a scrap tire trailer at work. I never had done that because you pay the disposal and labor for each so they just sat there waiting. You opened my eyes to it last year when you did some for me.
Im adding this picture because no one ever believes that these trucks CAN get this kind of mileage. This is 3 and a half hours of driving with that average!
Well, they totaled the e82 which I had expected. Offered pretty good money but the buyback was almost half what I paid for it so I think it will ride off into the sunset. Too bad, awesome car.

I pulled the e82 in to strip my stuff out of it, had a packing blanket and a box of hot wheels in the trunk and was wondering how I was going to get it.
Lifted up on the trunk lid and it came right up.
That'll do it.
Pulling the 300ce in next to screw with it and get it useable so my wife and kids have a spare car while I'm out.
The buyer for my old work truck is coming today to grab it so my driveway will be a little lighter come tomorrow.
I'm confused by the rolling stock on the Benz. Those tires look reallly short, and aren't those Porsche center caps?
Both true, that setup is from my rabbit which requires a lot less tire when slammed. They are adapted, I have three sets of D90's with all the sizes; 6, 7, 7.5, 8 and the rare 9" since it's about the best wheel ever made imo.

two weeks ago one of you guys hit me up about the insight and offered me some wheels in a three way trade. I approved, I don't think the new owner is on here but he found a bunch of corroded grounds and has it running and driving. Needed all brake lines and the abs was jacked as well. Pretty sweet deal all around.
The e82 was still sitting here, I guess copart has a hard time finding drivers as well, but now it's gone. Bye!
Planning to grab the red e36 and an old trailer I bought back awhile out of the warehouse and bringing them to the house to start fiddling (probably sell the trailer so if any of you needs a expanded metal walled 18' landscape trailer that needs some work let me know).
Put a bunch of miles on the truck again this week. Mounted and balanced tires for my wife's van last night hoping to get it aligned today. No appointments available, small town with not many choices.

One bad thing with this truck is it won't accelerate away from 75 mph without shifting, the previous one would pull in 10th gear just fine but this one just shifts to 8th for any acceleration.
Made it to 10022 miles before:

Brought the red e36 and my weird trailer home last night; together, at the same time.
This is after I unloaded the convertible.
Spent some time with the vert today, found the fuel feed and return lines to have rusted through. Unfortunately, I also found the floors to be rusted through in numerous places. Doh! I actually knew this from looking at the car but had conveniently forgotten till I had it in the air. Not sure the soft top has ever been out it looked brand new.
I ordered the fuel lines and some other stuff ; rear shocks are blown, fuel filter since it will be apart etc., from FCP so once that arrives I'll tackle it and see what I find next lol.
Fuel lines and stuff are in the red e36, runs great but has a wicked knock on the pass front over 40mph. Think I'll just use it rusty as it is.
Edit: sold my weird trailer, putting together enough to buy a new trailer from selling some of the crap I already have haha.

Loaner while I'm waiting for the F150 to be repaired, they are saying Monday done. I'm going that way Wednesday so I hope so!
Truck was done last week so happily back in that now, got the CE up in the air to replace the fuel pump, filter and accumulator and dang it it has two pumps. I ordered that and shocks for my wife's van that one had become squeaky-the top rubber isolator has a ton of play. So, hurry up and wait.
while it was up I test fit a couple sets of wheels, I had planned to install the AMGs but once on I did not like them at all. After I test fit the Fikse I said oh heck yes! I need one barrel since it's been repaired three times and that's not good on this type of spun barrel and valve stems
New barrel came for the Fikse this week

and holy cow was that barrel way worse than I remembered , should not look like a stop sign haha
Sitting at Menards right now waiting to grab the right caulk to put them back together. Order tires this afternoon, next weekend mount them up hopefully
I've typed this update a couple times but it keeps crashing so...
installed tires on Fikse
polished e36 and installed entire new front suspension and brakes. Now needs final drive for hvac and power steering pump(I'm guessing) as there is none. With my 16yo daughter being the driver it needs to have power steering.
The CE is still leaking at the fuel pump so I need to reinstall that while annealing each washer during assembly, smart design just sucks getting it right

Oh yeah, and went over 19,000 miles in the truck
Flying next week so won't add much to that.
One of the Fikse leaks, very annoying and I've had it apart twice and it didn't stop. Never had one so stubborn. Haven't installed them yet luckily, I always wait on multi piece wheels to install them till they've sat a week in the garage with no loss in pressure.
Did find these BBS RS178 in Michigan so made the three hour round trip to grab them. They need to be narrower to fit the e36 well but should look snazzy
and spent a ton of time mulching, putting in a turn around drive and tilling up most of the lawn to plant grass. Good times
