Holy E36 M3! I hope you make a full and speedy recovery!

Damn dude. That sucks, but glad you went in for treatment and they caught it in time.
Prayers for a speedy recovery
Wow, that sounds like a close call! I hope you are feeling better and that you have a good recovery.
Holy ish.
I wish you all the best and a speedy recovery. I used to think I was invincible and have the scars to prove it. All it takes is one little thing...not that MRSA is a little thing...to remind us just how little control we actually have over our health.
Your Mullet Truck is awesome. But you can't enjoy it if you don't get healthy, so please do the best you can do with your regimen. We're all rootin' for you.

Be safe & try to follow their orders, it sounds like you’re past the worst of if, so that’s very good news!
yo dude my bad on not checkin' .....and i thought my lung blood clot was a beatch...MAJOR prayers for you son
No update on the project as of June. Health is still in the E36 M3ter. I am scheduled for a triple bypass at the beginning of the year so hopefully this will be the cure.
Have faith (well, I know I do) in higher powers and modern medicine.
And how were you even functioning with all those conditions at once? I think the only thing left to fear for you is Kryptonite.

Thanks Guys.
The Doctors said I should have been dead years ago anf they have no idea what kept me going.
I just thought I was getting old and felt like crap from being an idiot kid. Between Rodeo, rank horses, being a rough and tumble sort of boy and just not caring if I got hurt it was an interesting childhood.
I had a coworker years ago that got an MRSA infection like this from a botched vasectomy, he was out for 9 months. But he thankfully made a full recovery. I wish you all the best and a full recovery as well.

Spent the summer in a couple hospitals. Still on full time oxygen. had another heart attack after the bypass surgery so they installed a pacemaker/defibrillator. its been a series of tests and procedures to try and figure it out. I guess the Lemon Laws don't apply here.
Project is gone. Have not worked in over a year and disability has run out. I filed for permanent disability but it takes a year to get so for now I stay in the car and just wait for something to happen.
The ex was nice enough to take pictures as the scrap hauler came to get the truck.
Holy hell man, I had not read much if any of this thread before but it's absolutely horrible what you've had to endure. Total sending good vibes for things to get better!
In reply to MulletTruck :
I'm sorry about your health & the truck, but super glad to hear you're still around!

Unfortunately this is not a update on the truck.
Sorry for the long read
I went to the ER a couple weeks ago under the direction of my coworkers. We had a big job coming up and they needed me there..
I went in because it was to a point where I couldn't walk with out a lot pain in my hips and groin area, I almost had to crawl to the admin desk. I thought I was going in just to get some pain killers a little stronger than Tylenol 850.
The did the usual check your vitals and brought me in the back. they did a couple scans of my hips/groin area and drew blood. I sat waiting for an hour or so while all the test results came back. When they came back to the room the DR was wearing a space suit!
They went to explain that I have a severe blood infection and would require more testing and they wanted to hit the sepsis hard right away. That involved a massive dose of IV fluids. The first round was going ok until I started having a hard time to catch my breath. I buzzed the nurse and by the time they came back I was basically drowning. They went into freakout mode and ended up pumping me with lasix and other diuretics. after a couple hours I was able to finally catch my breath and calmed down, then they did it again! at least this time they stayed in the room to catch the drowning sooner. When I called them out on it the dr said it needed to be done to help flush the sepsis.
From there they admitted me.
Over the next few days I went through a couple 4hr sessions in the MRI, 3 Bone scans, CT scans, Xrays and a lot of blood draws they determined I needed to go under the knife. The went in around my hips and scrubbed and sucked any infection from the bones they could reach just to get a head start on the infection clean up.
It turns out I have a hard to treat MRSA blood infection. I have CDC people talking to me around the clock.
During all this they tried to get a handle on my diabetes numbers since I was a captive patient.
One of the side effects of the flooding was massive heart and kidney failure and severely damaged lungs from the flooding. so now I have that to deal with now too.
Im on full time oxygen and a very limited diet. Have a battery of tests still and hospital appointments. I have to give myself IV antibiotics twice a day for 8 weeks hoping to get the Blood Infection under control. Chances are pretty good my Job is gone but that will have to be seen.
I came home a week ago but had to go back in for a few days for more testing. Im back homebound now for 6/8 weeks. It will be an interesting ride.
I’m not liking that! Holy berk dude! Your coworkers had to convince you to go see what was wrong? You must be one tough motherberkeleyer. This is terrible news. I wish I could help somehow but I’m on the other side of the country (other side of the world at the moment). Somebody start a Gofundme for this guy. I don’t know how but I’ll donate.
I have been in and out of the hospitals seeing more specialists. Started dialysis a couple weeks ago and Im on the trifecta of donor lists. Heart, Lung and Kidney.
After this last year and watching whats happening on the news today really confirms my thoughts that I made the wrong decision . They should have just scrapped me out and called it a day. Im embarrassed and disappointed.
