You gotta have goals in life and I'll support you fully in your goal of having the best Neon in Merica. No matter how crazy it is.
I slept the whole night through last night for the first time since the quarantine started. Have a sense of peace this morning, and seeing this thing in color just makes my head calm.
Dunno why any of that, but it all is.
Today, im a single dad, and working the day job. But, munchkin is wanting to work on the car. Well see what happens. Hopefully get some stuff transferred over from the parts car, and ill have her take stuff off. Hopefully make it go away quicker.
i drove past a blurple coupe Sunday, it was sitting in front of a vape shop on Rochester Rd in Troy MI, looking very much like Danny Devito to your Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Brent: who? Someone i should know?
And im really really really really happy with it! Thatns for all the feedback

He runs graveyard carz which is arguably the best Mopar Restoration shop in the country.

Mark Worman is a producer and director, known for Graveyard Carz (2011), Trinket (2014) and LA Business Today (2008).
Huh. Never seen it.
Worth a half hour of my life?
Todays goal is revised: get the rest of the old and crusty stuff off so we can paint the underside and start reinstall with a clean slate.
With the journey fresh in your mind....Advice, or words of wisdom for those waiting in the wings to do their own paint job?

Random, bullet point style thoughts and wisdom
Its work. A LOT of work. Your hands, arms, and shoulders will ache.
Bare metal up is the best way to go insane. Or get perfect.
Spray guidecoat and block the first layer of paint before trying to add filler
Metal moves easily. Rubber mallet works good.
Get E36 M3 to a comfortable work height
Use water when wetsanding to see how it will look glossy. Only way i could tell.
One panel at a time.
Good body filler is WAY easier to work than bondo from walmart
Bo such thing as too clean
Indoor sanding gets dust EVERYWHERE.
you will track sanding dust into the house no matter what.
Dont paint outside in direct sunlight
Have a second set of eyes and hands
Fresh sandpaper is key
Long blocks work. Let them.
The sanding sponge thing was awesome for curves
Tape every seam fully before paint. Overspray finds a way.

Mark Worman is stupid but worth watching for the wealth of knowledge on old Mopar and one of the few shows that do real work instead of look what we popped out in a week.

You know you're a closet mopar freak
