my solution to the goo problem is to tape sheets over the big openings. Ill do the quarter windows as well. Should dramatically reduce the amount of clean up needed.

You are of course correct, cause clear. Somehow the floor always looks messier if I color sand.
So, did you reach the level of paint quality you wanted? Sure look great from the cheap seats.
The spot we tested last night is almost there. I think with new pads, and a bit more effort, we will be there. At show car quality. Which is better than i wanted at the start, but what i decided i wanted at the end.
You do realize while Munchkin can post in this thread she cant read it for a couple more years? Lol about the goo
In reply to Justjim75 :
Good point. Granted, she always asks if something is munchkin appropriate before looking. And i HOPE most of the slightly off color comments go over her head.
the rack from the lemons rt cleaned up well. Which is good, as the acr rack (same ratio) appears to be shot.
Working on wetsanding, ad suspension parts to make it a roller. Depends on what i feel like that phone call.
wetsanded to 2k. Washed with clean water and a wash cloth. Time to buff.
Here's to hoping that i don't berkeley up.
In reply to maschinenbau (I live here) :
Maybe. This is 30 seconds of buffing with a cutting pad and yellow 3m goo.

Yup. And realizing that im never going through this again.
Until the next time i do. Glad my labor doesn't count for challenge budget.....
berkeley. No idea what happened here. berkeley. berkeley. berkeley.
How do i fix it? Hopefully NOT strip the whole panel and re-shoot. Spot repair? Middle of the roof.
In reply to NOHOME :
Art buried his mom today.
Ill wait a few days.
It honestly looks like we clear coated over whatever it is.

Good call.
I'm going to find a milkshake.
In reply to Dusterbd13-michael (Forum Supporter) :
I've had to ban milkshakes. Homemade milkshakes is what got me to 260lbs.
In reply to Stampie (FS) :
I had to quit drinking. I'll be damned if I'm giving up my milkshakes. I am 240 and okay with that today
In reply to Dusterbd13-michael (Forum Supporter) :
Oh and tell Art I'm sorry. Way too much bad E36 M3 happening lately.
So, im ignoring the roof. Theres a whole rest of the car to do everything to before the roof it holding me up.
Real update soon. But, decent driver quality 10 footer has been achieved!
