I love this thing. It really reminds me of what people used to do to make drag cars from Anglias, but in your case for autocross.
Do you need any random parts? I don't have anything juicy, but maybe I could scrounge together a few things from my stash.
For doors I think either a gullwing or the GT-40 style "take a part of the roof with it" door would work fine.

My mind is currently working with the shifter and am sketching up Sequential H-pattern drums.. I mean then I only need to transmit push pull to the rear, not push pull and select. It is simpler. .. really...

I finally got some time to work on the car and I built a String Computer to design the suspension. I've been recording a suspension video. There is a lot of talking and explaining. Not sure if it's going to be interesting but it will be educational.
I also bought a mess of Ball joints to try to find a good UBJ for the front suspension. I found some nice tiny ones from a 2500lb UTV but I'm not sure if they are the best choice?

Are you planning to make fiberglass panels pre/post challenge, or will it all stay in steel?
It will probably stay all steel. The steel panels are hilariously thin and light. We will see though. This one is getting painted so it won't be as obvious that they are steel as the MG is.
Suspension design is complete. Tonight it was on to seat position mockup.
It's a mixed bag. I fit, I think I can maintain 2 seats. It's going to basically be like riding in a Formula Ford. I did decide to raise the body 1.5".
It's nearly time to start chassis. That's like real fabrication.
I'm editing the video for the suspension design also. Hope to have it done early this week.

I've thought about it but actually there are some brackets I need to cut off the LHD underdash area and I like my shins untetnused.
No real progress on the Subaru has occured in the last 2 weeks. That's because I was preparing the MG for a trackday at Road America with Gridlife.
I did however get a chance to edit the video(s) for the suspension design. I ended up making 2 videos because the original edit was very long and very dry. The final edit splits out the discussion of suspension terms and definitions into a seperate video. I initially was just going to have it be a one time thing but I decided to call it "Tech Talks" as I realized that as the build or other builds progress there will be more items that require a technically detailed discussion.
Both of these videos are pretty dry and boring but it's hard to make hanging string on a wall and explaining KPI and VSAL to interesting. That said I hope people who are interested in suspension development find it interesting. My approach to suspension design is a bit more "laissez faire" in that I don't get to hung up on the exact placement of pivots. I round things to the nearest 1/4" or 1/8" and just let what has proven to be a sound theory on what compromises to make develop the suspension. It's fairly quick and easy way to go and so far has proven to work pretty well on the vehicles I've used it on.

Should I cover the things you explained incorrectly, the things you oversimplified, and my disagreement with how you calculated the roll center? Or should I just skip straight to how much I love your TSUE... Although, I suppose one could even consider it a Tiny Independent Suspension Supplemental Understanding Enhancer as well.

I tried to figure out a hilarious acronym but I just couldn't land one that worked. I like TISSUE that would of been grate. I thought about trying to make the "rim" look like TE37s but went with more of a 10 spoke. I was sure to label the tires Cheesehunters though, as that seemed important.
I also just realized I mis-identified the Tire Size. A 225/40R17 would only be ~24" diameter. For the Challenge I intend to stuff a 225/45R17 on the 7" rim because the 7" rims were free.
The long term plan is to run a 215/45R17 RE-71 on 17x7" rims for trackday use. This is the stock size for BRZs so rims are widely available in this size.
I will also run Rcomp tires on either a 18x8 or 17x8 rim with offsets that closely match the designed contact patch centerline (17/18x8 ET 48 with a 1/4" spacer will be nearly identical to 17x7 ET 43). This will be the rims I run at any timed events. These I will spend money on and buy nice rims.
All tires ran will be between 24.7-25" diameters. This diameter is common to modern sport compact cars and I anticipate I will have good tire availability for a long time.
If I run a 225/40 (24" tire) on the suspension designed for a 25" tire, the result would be that the roll center, CG of the vehicle, and ground clearance would reduce by .5". Consequence to suspension geometry would be minimal as the roll couple would remain basically the same as the RC height to CG height would remain fixed. Total Weight transfer would reduce by whatever % .5" is of the final CG height so performance would theoretically improve slightly.
While looking at the tire diameter maths again I am having a re-think on my ground clearance. Currently I have it setup for the same Ground clearance as I run on the MG. That made sense to me as the MG works and I rarely if ever drag the chassis on anything. But I realized today that the MG is a street/track car where the LMP360 is going to be full track only. Looking around at trackday only cars (Radicals, KTM Xbow, as well as LMP type cars) it looks like the ground clearances ran range in the 40-70mm (1.6-2.75") range. It's not a huge deal but running more around a 2.5" ground clearance would lower the overall vehicle CG by close to 1.0". When the anticipated CG height is ~12" that is a substantial amount of reduction in weight transfer which could increase overall cornering grip. Decisions decisions.
