It's sorted. It was a ignition lock actuator pin. Easy fix.
Only 600k on the truck? A little bitty John Deere?
I kinda figured it was something like that.
Do they still have those ignition switch parts new somewhere? I have rebuild many locks and ignition switches from multiple sort of working units, but a complete replacement NOS always works better.

I got a new dormant actuator pin ignition cylinder in it 2 years ago. The truck is good to go again.
Red Omni is tore down, it was definitely a bad belt. Got it together and it fires up and purrs like a kitten.
Retimed, test fired, one small fire and a dash of sad.
First test fire it back fired out of intake and got a good flame, 2nd fire sounded like a knock due to alt bracket flopping. I'll upload sound of alt bracket bouncing video in a bit.
I do miss the dodge 4 cylinders and how easy it is to change timing belts...the only engine easier is the Ford 2.3 Lima engine(I timed that one at a little over 30mins for a timing belt)
Finished up red Omni....
Here is a good one.
Drove it around the block, parked it, went to restart it cranks strong back fired out intake.
Need to dig a little deeper tomorrow and get it fixed.
Way to cold today to want to mess with it.
Changed the oil in tabbie and greased her.
Painted the new oil pan for aRTic
This is my newest neon. Magenta sedan sohc auto.
Unsure what it's fate will be, but any way it will be cool. Not a car I will be touching this year, ya know... Due to having way to many projects and other stuff to focus on.
Did the oil pan on artic tonight.
Found this gem, glad I cough to early
Also 99% sure cam or crank seal is leaking
Made a junkyard run this morning for focus parts. Damn DDs breaking when I wanna do fun stuff. Also got a dizzy for the 88 Omni to try to diag some weird missing issues
Ol pos runs decent. Got to fix a high idle issue. PO claimed new plugs wires cap and rotor ... That was a lie
