It's alive!
We got everything together last weekend and got it started. The first test drive was a success. We still need to put in an electric fan and do some other minor stuff but at least it moves under its own power now.

So this build thread didn't get a whole lot of comments. In preparation for the next one I want to make sure I don't leave anything out. Would you like to see more pictures? Description of what is going on? I know I prefer to read and look at pictures more than watch videos most of the time. Any comments on what you would like to see for the next series? The next project should be much more interesting but also a much longer timeline.
Pictures and text work best for me too, and it would probably be easier on you (although I like the occasional video -especially with sound -or mud-slinging). Any plans on doing a 140 maybe? I love those...
...but will read/watch regardless...

Yeah, videos are great, but most of us can't watch them at work, where id imagine the majority of browsing occurs during the day. But, an occasional video here or there is still a great thing, especially if it's a first start or test n tune or the like
I do find it interesting which build threads get attention and which don't. The two I have now aren't getting a whole lot of comments. Not sure if its because the cars aren't interesting, the work I'm doing isn't interesting (not lots of cool fab work or crazy design stuff) or if I'm not interesting!
Oh well, I'm doing it for fun and to have a log of what I've done...
In reply to docwyte :
I do mine primarily as a log, like for instance I came to a stuck point last night because I could not remember how much shorter the lower link on my suspension needs to be, but it's in my thread, and there's no wi-fi near my garage... Lesson learned: have build thread open in tablet before going to garage. Maybe a white board would be easier, but that costs money and stuff.

Don't feel neglected. I'm sure a lot of people have been following. I have a 2008 S60. Nothing for me to add, different generation, but followed with interest. Funny, but it seems whenever I post something, it seems like it's a thread killer, but I still stumble ahead. Nice job, keep it up.
In reply to Dirtydog :
I won't let you kill this thread!
Next project I will try to take more pictures and do a write-up of what we have done along with the video.
...and remember -all of you- lots of people probably follow, but just don't comment. (like me for instance..)
:)

You haven't successfully killed any of mine yet. Just like me, most of my threads are deathproof.
You'll need to log in to post.
