Easy peasy.

sweet. I'm guessing to locate the bar just move it a little aft of the torsion beam and pop the holes through the pockets?
I'm excited by how relatively cheap the veloster RSB is, too. Compared to other parts for this car that should be cheap lol
OK, so I get back from Nats to find my Megan order for hte top plates.AWESOME!
But wait..... there's only one. FML.... they only ordered/shipped one side... not the two I ordered. Let me guess, another 14 weeks to get the other side?
Take a E36 M3 in the box, send it back, get your money back, and get a set of Jim's universal deals and make 'em fit.
Good driving by the way Bob. I doubt that anyone expected a Kia to do so well. I hope you get the parts sorted out.
Thanks. Even the professional photogs didn't take me seriously. THey had 2 pics of the SooperKia. Both sucked. This was taken by Will's co-driver for me (they ran STC T-W):
That was actually better than what they were offering. The car had a solid top 10 finish in it with a better driver. East course was a "Are you man enough" course that I solidly shouted "NO I'M NOT!". West Course was a little better for me. Car placement was what made/break the West Course.
Anyhoo.... vids from East course:

and west course:

OK, so yesterday was the last event for our region. It was a bookend event that runs the same permanent test course at Grissom and we use it to set class records. First event was running hte car bone stock on the Kosei K1's with older Bridgestone RE-11's. That event I set the "record" at a 51.514. After the suspension swap (MD-Elantra K-sport coilovers with 550lb frt springs, 675 rears, Megan pillowball mounts for a Forte and a Veloster Whiteline rear sway bar) and the set of Rival's (in the same 225/45/17 size) I've been using all year I dropped that record to a 48.790. That's a 2.7 second drop.
Very happy with that. Extrapolating that time differential, that would have changed rank in STF at the Peru Match Tour from DFL to first. Even dropping half a second due to more familiarity with the car, that still put me in second.
So it looks like next year's upgrades are going to focus more on getting more power and dropping weight. I'd like to drop another half second off that time next year with a 100lb weight loss and about 15-18hp/10-15tq to the wheel upgrade should get me close.
That too.... about 20lbs worth on me. Battery(stock is a group24 that weighs in at 49lbs) I can shed 40lbs alone on the driver's side nose, exhaust and intake another 10 combined. Wheels have already given me a 24lb advantage over stock so that stuff puts me in the neighborhood of where I want to be. Add the tune and I'll be looking at a 2750lb car making 170whp, 165wtq and a 2nd gear good to 66mph with the rev limit change.
Cool car, I was always partial to the 5 door that was apparently made of unobtanium when I was newer car shopping.
Perfect stance, best looking Forté I've seen.
OK, so last night was "put it in winter mode" for the SeX. Here she was at the end of the season:
And an hour later:
Jeebus... I should have just bought some H&R springs for this thing.

lmao. This is why I'm just sticking with my crap lowering springs and stock struts instead of putting stock springs back on. Car has the stance of a lifted jeep when stock=/
Hopefully y the time next season rolls around I'll be able to do some STF domination (or at least participation)
For living where I live, it's good to have the clearance etc. My roads don't get the attention they need etc. But the look is just hilarious.
Pretty amazing on the transformation looks-wise with the springs and wheels--goes from a car that you would look right past, to being one that commends a double-take.
That's why I love it. It blends in and doesn't attract attention Mon-Fri. Weekends? Whole 'nother ballgame. I don't like radar magnets.
What tires are you running this season? Local hotshoe and STF trophy getter at nationals has his Mazda3 prepped and claims the Rivals are gods gift to cars.
I'm starting the year on last years Rivals. The will get replaced with new ones when they are worn. On the heavier cars, they are the shiz. Absolutely amazing.
Considering how underprepped and how little seat time I had in the car with a decent suspension when Nationals arrived and I still placed mid-pack, my overall goal is trophies at Nats. Honestly, if my mediocre driving would net me the last trophy slot, I'd be so friggin happy I'd explode.
