I like both .... the barn and the Benz....how does one get the suspension to go full 'hike' if it's not running...
most of these I've been around squat when shut off. What's next just drive she said???

I am a bit put off by the high suspension myself. I figured the springs would have decompressed a bit post-installation, but no luck yet. It's a non-SLS car so there would be nothing keeping it so high. I did try to get it moving a bit by pushing down, but this suspension is not playing around.
Next I need to start hooking up all of the ancillary bits and bobs and hopefully get a drive in.
So bits and bobs installation is going... somewhere. I unfortunately managed to snap a water pump bolt upon installing a new one, but I have spares in the form of the bad engine. I flushed the water jackets the best I could, and the water was an alarming dark brown color; not oil, but maybe really dirty dexcool? This engine still had a very old thermostat in it, one that was made in West Germany.
I've hit a few snags: how in the blue hell does the ac compressor mount; where the hell ar the rest of the bits for my throttle linkage to connect to the pedal; and vacuum lines. All the vacuum lines.
Oh well. Onwards and upwards.
