Hello!

I recently bought a 1988 Pontiac fiero formula with a 5 speed Getrag transmission and my goal is to follow someone else’s build (Steven Snyder’s) and build a even more successful and ultimate track car. Accept one thing.

the engine

im trying to figure out how to swap in an Alfa Romeo 3.0 24v v6, and I need to find out how the heck I’m gonna do this.

there are many reasons why I want this, I just need more info

Is there an Alfa to GM metric bell housing adapter?  That's where I'd start.

Actually my my plan is to use the Alfa transmission, as it is a 6 speed and can handle a TON more power

I basically have everything I need to fabricate all the parts I need. I’m curious on how complex of a swap this would be

You might be a trailblazer for this swap. If so, keep us updated! (Actually, do it either way.) We love wacky combos here.

In reply to thatsnowinnebago :

Yeah, I’m stoked to try this out, all I’ve heard is good things about the engine and how it might work quite well.

Makes a cool combo if I could get it in the fiero
