It's a fart away from July. I've been daily driving the 7 since March.
Today was 42°C (108°F) in the shade. Yes; Canada.
Feels like a freakin' blow torch. Had me Googling to see if there was such a thing as reverse wind chill. Holy carp.
Imma gohead and take the '77 C10 to work for a few days. Because "dang."
Dusted the beast off, didn't even drive it at all last year. I took my eldest to Kindergarten in it, I'm taking him to his "Grad Walk" in it. Best make it run nice.
Finally found a decent source of info on 4AGE spark timing, and now trying this out:
Runs really nice for pure Alpha-N. If I didn't tell you it was Alpha-N, you'd never know. Hoping for more table refinement in the coming days.
In chasing tuning issues over the last couple years, I went from the Honda Accord injectors I was using back to the Toyota 4AGE injectors for a while. A year or two agi, I bought an injector cleaning machine, si I figure I'd clean them.
The 4AGE injectors flowed low on #3, and #3 also leaked ever so slightly. I cleaned them, but #3 never improved. I cleaned the Accord injectors, and re-installed them. Much better. I also re-sync'd the ITBs which also helped the idle a lot.
I have since relocated the IAT to inside one of the air filters (instead of strapped to the heat shield around them), as also altered the IAT correction table a bit. I've been tuning it a bit, and it is SO SO SO much better (and it wasn't bad before).
Anyway, video of the cleaning:
When I was able to sing along with the intro "gather round, gather round, gather round" song I knew it was time to subscribe to your YouTube channel.
You, Sir, get an "A"!
Truthfully, I've been doing that intro at the start of every single class every year that I have taught; it's just what I do, so I keep doing it.
I also sell many of my sayings in shirts. *cough*cough*
