I'm REALLY interested in this car as well as the coilovers.
Im getting older and have always wanted to "get into" a brand. Subaru seems to have a massive following. I want to be that guy that has one daily driver, a project car, two parts cars and two stripped shells in the yard. It used to be Samurai's for me decades ago and I've been wandering around aimlessly since.
I keep coming back to Subaru. Valid? Dumb?
Oh God, they offer full coils for the wagon. I need a slammed, barely running Corolla, right?

It's not an issue on most of them.
this is my 2nd CEL in 3 years. First was o2 sensor which was easy. I love this car. I'm a fan of subarus in general and have had 4. The fact that i can put forester struts on a wrx and lift it and wrx struts on a forester and slam it makes me giggle inside
my story with this car is all because i got screwed by a drug dealer in NC, and because i had earmarked $3300 for a chevelle that he sold while he had my deposit and i was on my way down to get it. I just happened to search wrx on craigslist, saw it an hour or so after it was posted. I texted and he said he had appointments to show it at 4, 5, 6, and 7. I just happened to be off and so was he. I literally hooked up the trailer, met him at his gym, bought the car, and he took an uber home with $2750 in his pocket. We had a celebration of life party that night, and Carli had the kids with her. I texted her that I bought a car and would meet her up there, and that she had to guess which one it was. She calls it my teenager car, but is also extremely supportive of my hobby.

I've been enjoying the car more with the front suspension being functional. The valve cover leak is getting worse now to the point that it's embarrassing. I'm down right now with a back tweak that happened when i was leaning awkwardly to caulk a window and my drop cloth slipped under my foot, so i'm not in a position to do anything about it. I'm planning to order the seals and do it at some point.
