BURN
Well let's face it... that was a pretty easy target
GU6 3.42:1 rear which means that with the new 25" tire combo I will fair well at cruises, may not be the friendliest at highway speeds though.

It’s ok, I’ve known him forever. I make the same comments to his face. He wasn’t called Quasi-NoShow for nothing

He still is called Quasi-NoShow for never finishing a fracking thing
Corrected

I'm not 100% sure I would be allowed to do that... SWMBO and all...
Come on Mofo. I need to live my car mod life through you. I need pictures and updates on progress or the lack of.
I really want to drink a case of good canadain beer with you. Challenge or not.
I I get to do is modify train cars for commuters. It's just not the same.
In reply to QuasiMofo :
LOL, actually it was the comment about getting lower BJ's for more gains.
I'm trying not to get banned.
Just work with it.
Nothing better than doing a timing belt on a 70 series volvo in -20c during a snowstorm in you gravel driveway so your wife can get to college on Monday.
The best part is your beer is always cold.
So how bad could it be to disassemble a blazer in the cold snowing weather. Get it done MOFO the clock is ticking.
Since the operation last year I've been a little cold weather averse. It's the only thing that's really seemed to have changed. I feel as strong, as limber, as flexible as before but if I'm cold and try to do anything my abs feel like I'm sparring with Tyson.

Move south, people expect to see broken/junk cars in your yard down here.
If you Google map my address you will see that nobody is saying jack about the Casa de Mofo

Yes they are.
After a lot of soul searching I decided that no matter how much I tried the Blazer would still end up feeling like a truck. I began looking for an affordable answer and since one of the few items that would need addressed was spring rate I decided to buy something cheap and easy to adjust. The answer became The Answer and I struck a deal on one. I'm still on the fence concerning motivation but as it stands it will be a stockish 1996 Miata 1.8 underneath.
In reply to Dusterbd13-michael :
I am 85% certain that it's going to stay a 1.8L Miata. There is an outside option of the donor coming with a Megasquirt and an older Jackson Racing supercharger for not Challenge pricing but it's seriously a consideration if I can justify it internally.

Well, let's see, we elected two presidents, had a global pandemic, I competed with a car in the 2020 Challenge, I've returned three more tomes to the Challenge, gave the Panhard away and... bought the Panhard back. Wait what?
Jesus I am an idiot.
New plan. Not simple but not ridiculously Mofo'd either.
Current parts:
Panhandler.
2002 MINI Cooper R50 with bad 5 speed, Raceland coilovers, a nice aftermarket R53 exhaust.
Looking at a 2006 MINI Cooper R53 with a bad engine and good 6 speed this week, no deal set yet.
Plan:
- Brace Panhard.
- Cut the floor and cowl out leaving a 1/2" lip everywhere.
- Swap R50 trans out with R53 and all parts necessary.
- Remove all MINI things from interior and exterior of 2002.
- Remove all MINI things from interior and exterior of 2006.
- Remove underbody fuel, brake and wiring runs from both MINI.
- Cut 2002 to utilize front 3/4 of car to rear suspension.
- Place 2002 under Panhard.
- Cut 2006 to utilize rear 3/4 of car to center of front seat.
- Trim to extend wheelbase 5"
- Center wheel wells, get Panhard body as low as possible on cowl.
- Try like hell not to embarass myself more.
