May need to add front flares and lower it some more.
550 lbs later
I suffer from some pretty serious inside wheel spin. Probably will disconnect the rear sway bar for autocross. Other than that just basically having fun with the car. It is incredible hard to stay in the stock seat.

Looks Awesome!
Did you cut the front fenders to make larger openings?
As for staying in the seat. If your budget dictates that you can not replace the seat then how about a 4 point harness. If not that then get a torso strap. From under your arm pits, the strap is then tightened around you and the seat back.

You honestly may already have something around the house you could make work similarly.
FYI: Q45's have factory limited slip.
Ratchet straps and d-rings from harbor freight. Your ass would stay put then.

Fenders needed bigger openings to run 275 wide up front. I will probably be running flares, I ordered another size flare that hopefully sticks out a little bit less but still covers the tire. May Lower it some more just for fun. I think disconnecting the rear sway bar will help with my inside wheelspin on the Autocross. I have plenty of budget left, lots of idea, not a lot of time. I have the shift kit, and nitrous laying around but I still need to find more time. Could definitely use some drag radials/slicks. I'll be at fall Carlisle looking for a seat and drag slicks next weekend.
Was looking at Q45's earlier after you said they came with a LSD.
Pretty sure only the Q45t has a limited slip. Also the J30t, not sure if they're the same unit. I know the 240 guys love them though.

I've got 99 problems of getting around an autox course but single wheel spin ain't one of 'em.
All first gen Q45's have an r200 rear end which is viscous LSD. '90-'96.
Actually, your Intel about Touring model only, may be true of the second gen Q45 which was a smaller engine of 4.1L and lost a lot of the sporting intentions.
Second Gen:
Maybe I'll plan to go for the 200 shot of nitrous and switch to the q45 for next year.
There is a wider selection of sub $2000 ls400 but I'll keep my eyes open. I really could use another car anyways lol... I'm glad I don't have a wife.

Once you get a Q45, the ladies will flock to you*.
*I have no actual experience with this phenomenon but, that's me. I'm sure your experience will be different.
We'll, there was that one time, downtown... I was at an intersection waiting on a red light, with the windows down and out of nowhere, I was asked by a lady on the sidewalk if I "wanted to date."
I seem to remember that she looked like she had an Adam's apple.
That wasn't for me, but, who knows, maybe that's good for you.

A Lincoln Locker would cure your wheels spin issue. That would probably be another first in a Lexus as well.

From my experience if a car attracts a girl that isn't a good thing. I've had these first world problems.
What about a seat like this JEGS seat cheap yet should do the trick and not much searching around?
A Jeg's seat would be great.
http://www.jegs.com/p/JEGS-Performance-Products/JEGS-Pro-High-Back-Race-Seats-and-Seat-Covers/763085/10002/-1
If you are driving the LS400 down, don't mount the seat till you get there. Those Jegs seats are only comfortable enough to sit in for a 1/4 mile at a time.
From the rules:
These safety items are budget-exempt: seat belt or harness;
If your going to change the seat, add a harness that does not have to be budgeted.
In reply to JohnRW1621:
I'm not driving it down... and I bid on a Q45 that ends Friday.
What is the simplest seat belt I could run?
In reply to WillrunifChased:
No E36 M3. Can you send a link? I'll look it over.
I recommend reading www.q45.org.

Well shoot, you learn something new everyday, huh? Some Infiniti tech I am...well, used to be. In the year and a half I was one, we didn't see too many of these come in, and of the ones that did, only a few were cream puffs. Most were wearing stupid huge wheels and smelled of the devil's lettuce, barely ran, and were just plain turds. People liked them just to say they owned an Infiniti, but didn't maintain them. I'm kinda partial to the early ones with no grill.
And if I'm gonna get spanked at the challenge, I'd be honored for it to be with another Nissan product.
So sorry to take over the thread Willrun...
Back to our previously scheduled programming...

hooooooooo, did not see that coming! wow, that looks killer. like, unnaturally kickass. can't wait to see how this warship shapes up.
Interesting, a Gen 3.
How much rain have you had latley? I ask because those pictures were likely taken when the car arrived and the missing back window and open sunroof could have since let in a lot of water.
The 22's are extra nice.
Funny thing about the vandalism. They completely missed the really expensive LED style headlights.
They usually attempt to cover up windows at copart after taking the pictures... I've never had a good experience with that but I account that to being miata's and hard to tape to the soft tops. I doubt I will win.
Partially watched the Wheelers Dealers episode yesterday with an LS 400 - made me want, now I read this. Thank goodness I'm broke.
In reply to JohnRW1621:
Those headlights are like $1500 each...insane. People usually just go for the simple stuff, I guess.
In reply to sethmeister4:
Used, they can be cheaper. Here is quick search ebay for $350 each.
Yeah, the $1500 is what they cost at the dealer I was at. It always blew my mind when people actually bought them!
Bad news boys... I won the q45 $1133 after fees.

You bringing two? I am pretty sure your mustang wheels and Hoosiers will fit both.
