We see people buy rusty TR6s all the time and wonder why. We found this running and driving, rust free TR6 in Denver with an asking price of only $6,900. Sure it has some needs but none of them involve the tin worm. These cars have been rising and this example definitely represents a good value.

Yes, you are right. Rusty TR6s is quite famous among people. Rusty TR6 was a classic car of its own in the early 1970s. TR6s are still running around in unrestored condition and panel supply of the car is still running good.

There is a '73 TR6 near me that the seller (one of those "buy here, pay here" businesses) claims has under 80K miles on it for the price of $6K. I first saw it on CL and recently drove past the "dealership"...it actually looked about as good/bad? as the pix in the ad showed it to be. Doesn't LOOK rusty, but the paint job looks to be factory original as does the top. Aside from rust, I always thought the big "bugaboo" on these cars was the suspension, both front and rear?
