Well, that is the exact example of my early childhood. Same color. I vividly remember how hot that chrome bar to lower the backseat got. I laid down many hours under that glass back practicing daydreaming.
This was a unique departure from imports. The only American car my parents owned.
When I was a junior in high school in 1976, the was EXACTLY my next door neighbor's first car. Same price, but his was in immaculate shape. The gold interior and push button tranny selector was so cool. I spent that weekend helping him install a dual exhaust system and rebuild the carb. Cool memories.
